King County’s Jade Lake is one of a string of lakes in the Necklace Valley. It is located about 10 miles S.E. of the town of Skykomish. It covers about 7 surface acres, reaches depths of about 25 feet and lies at an elevation of 4650 feet. It is reported that it hosts fish species including Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout. It can be reached by a trail that starts at the East Fork Foss-Necklace trail head parking lot. To get there follow the well-traveled and clearly marked trail up into the Necklace Valley. After traveling about 6 miles you will come to Jade Lake. Farther up the trail is an old cabin that can be used if needed. See additional information on the Emerald Lake overview.
