Incredible Rainbow Trout Fishing on Opening Day!
I pretty much never go out and purposely target trout. But with the cold front that lead up to opening weekend, the bass at the lake I went to were shut down. After catching only a couple dink largemouth in a couple hours, my buddy and I decided to troll for trout and destroyed over 45 in just a couple hours. Pre Spawn Bass Fishing With Jigs & Senkos
Took Swayner23 out fishing with me on Sunday and we had a blast!  We boated a total of 12 Largemouth and 3 Rock Bass.  I caught 8 Largemouth and Chris caught 4 Largemouth and 3 Rock Bass. Barbless trebles or siwash?
Now that Columbia regs state we all have to change out our hooks on the million or two salmon/steelhead plugs that every fisherman has.I was wondering what would be the best hooks to use in this situation.Seems to me using a barbless treble might be more opt to pop out than say a siwash or sickle hook.I do know from my experience fishing selective water that putting a small barrel swivel between the hook and snap ring helps keep the fish from throwing the hook....  [read more]
