RE:the fresh-water lobsterette - crawfish lakes *UPDATE*

Tying the the two sides of the pots together does satisfy the requirement but it does not work very well. That was my first idea too. There is an eye on each side of the pot for attaching the bouy line. When you close the pot the two eyes meet up flush with each other. The clasp that comes with the ...

RE:the fresh-water lobsterette - crawfish lakes *UPDATE*

The regs for the gear are on the very last page of the 2007-2008 regs booklet. Can anyone decipher them enough to know if these pots are regulation? Cabelas - Frabill Vinyl-Coated Crawfish Trap The Frabill Pots don't meet the requirement for a biodegradable device but are easily modified. If you bu...

RE:Releasing trout caught on powerbait

Try pinching the barbs to aid in hook removal. And use a Zak Flipgun Hook Remover. I really like this hook remover its quick an easy. Doing these two things will help but stocker trout hooked in the stomach will still have a high mortality rate. http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e282/bigastrout/Zak....

Yep its year round. And its been super cold this week. Those monsters were stocked just before ice up so you might have a decent chance at one.

No need to go very far. Right in your second hometown there are some great opportunitys. There are several lakes in Eburg that present a chance at some nice trout if you know a little about hard water fishing. And the Yakima river Whitefish season can be awsome right now thru Feb 29.

The only thing I do different than Sam is cut the tag end of the knot back a little closer. I don't know if it really makes any difference but its sort of a pet peeve that I have. Maybe Sam does too, I don't know I was just looking at his example pic. Sam?

RE:Ice off??

Keep an eye on the temperature once the temp starts to stay above freezing at night it will only take a couple of weeks. The ice never really gets that thick here in Washington. We are lucky at least here in Central Washington if the ice ever reaches 12 inches thick.

The bait machine was at an Albersons in Boise Idaho. The soda was $0.25 cents (Albersons brand). The bait was $2.50. The machine dispensed your choice of 12 lager night crawlers, the "trout special" 18 small-meduim night crawlers, 30 giant meal worms, 18 red tiger worms, or 24 garden earthworms. I t...

Well I have been putting it off too long. I have to fix the crack in my Hi-laker boat and get it repainted. Wish me luck its a good size crack and my fiberglass skills are not professional. I did a little practicing last season and with any luck things should go smooth.
