In regards to the Carbon River WDFW In-Season Hatchery Escapement Report for 10-04-07 it says 1250 Coho made it to Voights creek hatchery. The escapement report for 10-11-07 says 2884 Coho made it to Voights creek. The 2006 total was 24,238 for Coho.
Now the Chinook report for 2006 was 2,414. This year it got up to 4,343. That is almost double. If that happens to the Coho run there might be over 40,000. Our odds of catching Silvers are greater than they were for caching a King.
That makes this a great salmon year for the Puyallup and Carbon. What about last years floods? How will they affect the Salmon fishing in the next few years?
For any of the rivers?
Any one can find out their rivers Salmon runs by checking the escapement reports.

RE:Carbon and Puyallp River Salmon
I don't know if its going to be that good Toni. In my experience, the puyallup usually peaks earlier then most rivers for silvers... Maybe the fish are just later this year will see.
RE:Carbon and Puyallp River Salmon
It has already peaked because the Pinks are dying. They out number the silvers and kings. What I have found happening is the silvers come in last and the weather then makes the river unfishable. Last year the silvers were late because of lack of rain and the river was low. Then it rained, snowing in the mountains then it warmed up, melted the snow and the river became unfishable.
