well the title says it all, how do i catch steel head, when and where?!
SENIOR THIS YEAR AT GRANITE FALLS HIGH SCHOOL
Almost have my drivers lisence.
I would rather be fishin' than sittin' in school wishin i was fishin'.

where abouts is the cascade river? is that near Mt vernon?

No offense trout assualt sean, but no one is going to tell you exactly where to stand, what to use, when to go there, how far out to cast, etc. There are steelies all over our local NW rivers. Do a little bit of research and then just go down there and give it a try. Experimenting is your best tool. It's either that or go get a guide. Guides are a great way to learn a fishery while still having a chance at success! Hope you do well in your search for that monster steel!

We love the Sauk,:-# smaller feeder river into the other mighty river system but easier reads and still some monster returns late and in 2005 late it gave me this 26lber buck on a float and fly.
Awesome fight and these guys getting pretty rare this size and this close to Seattle the same day I landed a 17lb Hen that tore the tail out up and was airborne 5 or 6 times! :compress: :cheers:
Rockport up on the mighty Skagit has many sweet seams and holding waters and a bunch of Dollies as well and some toads!:@:
