Tapps Help

So im just a rookie to the muskie fishing and I have been doing my homework and reading a bunch of stuff and getting all my gear to caught some tigers. I went out to tapps last wednesday and was trolling around for about an hour and a half but didn't get any bites. I was just woundering what how fast I should be trolling? :-k I was using my outboard motor to troll and my fish finder said I was going in between 1.7 to 2.2 mph. But this weekend my dad got a new minn koda 50 lb. electric trolling motor so we can be more quiet but i heard that trolling can very between 1mph all the way up to 2.5mph depending on the day but wasn't really sure if there was a certain or one consistant speed that you guys usually go? ya in the winter. If you need to go different speed in different times in the years that would be nice to know too.

trdont lling Tapps should be good right now if you target the west sides of flats dropping off to main lake channels,but dont target water over 40 ft deep.I would start in the 10 ft range then fish outtowards the deep .Or troll in about 20 ft and bounce your bait off underwater points and hold on to your rod
