watching them hunt in person is quite a site. also i worked with a couple when i was volunteering at sarvey wildlife center in arlington.

That last fish was almost too big for him! I've seen eagles get swamped because their stomach was bigger than their wings. Heheh. But they are persistent swimmers and towed that big ole moldy salmon to shore.

When it pounded that sole, picked back up, flew off and shook like a dog, that was cool.

I also liked where it looked like it was surfing on that salmon towards the end.

I wish I had talons...

The precise, systematic preparation of the dive is what amazes me. It is so calculated and is set in motion by a step by step procedure. Opening the talons, bringing the wings forward, folding them back and putting his talons directly in front of his head. So cool. They are truly an amazing bird. Bald Eagles are also fun to watch.
