i can be to the gate in 10 minutes and "lost" in the woods within 45. seen a lot of game in there outside of the season but never been able to harvest anything. the damn elk up there practically come up and shake your hand outside of season, then as soon as the season opens they dissappear. so frustrating!!!!!
i was up their fishing this spring and had a heard of elk just hanging out in the middle of the road on my way out. had to honk and yell to get them to move out of the way. they just looked at me like "what?"

Nice, isn't that they way it always seems to go.
I saw a lot of fresh deer and elk track, I think this weekend is going to be more of the same location. Water at the bottom of the hill to my NW and a clear cut to the south. Thinking I'll find a spot in the middle along the tree line.

Yeah, the Elk around here are nothing short of magicians.... It's amazing for an animal that size, they just disappear.bugmasta wrote:i can be to the gate in 10 minutes and "lost" in the woods within 45. seen a lot of game in there outside of the season but never been able to harvest anything. the damn elk up there practically come up and shake your hand outside of season, then as soon as the season opens they dissappear. so frustrating!!!!!

Build a man a fire and he's warm for the night. Light a man on fire and he's warm the rest of his life!
