Camping in Idaho

Post by Kfedka » Wed Jun 23, 2010 7:33 am

Looking to get out for the 4th of July. Would like to drive no more than 1.5 hours from Spokane, WA. Like to camp in "remote" locations where you can make fires with not much people around. Bathroom and water not required. Would like to camp by a location that has decent fishing for walleye, bass, panfish, trout, etc, from shore or small boat. Looking to camping next to the water to park boat nearby in water overnight.

Have camped in the past at Priest Lake in the middle of no where which was lots of fun, but fishing there is not that good. Thanks for any tips.

You might want to consider one of the chain lakes between Cataldo Mission and Harrison Idaho along the Coeur d' Alene river. BUT, 1.5 hours from Spokane on the 4th of July weekend and no people? Good Luck.
Where you go is less important than how you get there.
