What lake campground/resort would you take the family to?

Post by Outdrsguy » Fri May 02, 2008 9:43 am

I'm always looking for new places to take the family and just wanted your opinions. My kids always want a place to swim or place to have fun and GF always wants a good cabin/room or a camping place with decent bathrooms and I like a safe place and of course somewhere to fish. I prefer Eastern Washington for its nicer weather. What you think?

I take the family at least once a year to the Lake Kachess Campground. It offers facilities, swimming area, great fishing and scenic beauty. Even if your just passing by,make a pit stop. Its a great place.

Lake Kachess campground is a very beautiful camp ground and pretty close to Seattle. The only problem is the fishing at lake kachess. Have you had much success there Kevinb? But you have Lake Easton, Easton ponds, Lake Lavender the Yakima River ( there is also a juvenile pond in the hanson ponds but I cant remember the name) plus a bunch of other ponds and lake katchless (just like kachess though). Then another 45 min. drive or so you can hit all the Ellensburg lakes.

I personally have had great success with kokes at Kachess. Its Lake Easton where I get skunked. Funny how that works. I love the fishing in these areas. You mentioned the Yakima....Awesome place:salut:
