Just got home at 11 pm. Nothing big but........
Will write a report on the report page and post extra pics here tomorrow.
Well was going to post a report but when I choose Okanogan county Rufus is not on the list of lakes to choose from.
So here it is The Guys can move it if they want( I tried).
Arrived at Seaton Grove boat launch @ 930am Friday morning. Launched and started working bottom bouncers looking for Walleye. Picked up 2 Rainbows about 2#.
The kicker started acting up and would not pump water. We just had a new water pump installed before we left and even tested it at Lake Tapps.
Ran downriver to the Nespelem Bar and tried anchoring. The wind was blowing pretty hard and we had a hard time getting the anchor to hold. Had to reanchor alot but got to fishing.
I was using a minnow Rapala (3") and my brother was using a Black Leech leadhead jig. ( YES single barbless hooks on all artifical lures ) Caught quite a few fish from 1-3#. Black Rooster tails worked also.
Decided to call it quits for the day and kept our 6 fish limit. ( there were 3 of us fishing).
Pulled the boat out and headed for Buffalo Lake. We had a cabin rented at Reynolds Resort on the lake.
Launched the boat to see if we could get the kicker going. Found the water discharge line was plugged with crap, cleaned it out and the kicker worked fine.
Trolled around the lake for a little while and picked up 1 11" Kokanee. Called it quits, the wind was still blowing pretty hard and it was COLD.
Back out Saturday morning. Ran into a guy at the launch on Friday that had caught a 20# by the upper net pens ( saw his post on here and that was him)
Ran down to THE SPOT . Didn't mark any fish and didn't get a single bite in 2 hours down by the pens. Ran back up to the bar and anchored. Very little wind.
Fishing was smokin hot!! Thought maybe if we hooked enough fish we would at least hit some bigger ones. NOPE. Still all in the 1.5-3.5# range.
We fished for 6 hours and probably hooked over 200 fish between the 3 of us. It was a blast on the ultra lites.
Decided to get our limits and call it quits for the day. It took 10 minutes to catch 6 nice fish to fill our limit.
Trolled at Buffalo for a little while and picked up a couple more Kokanee.
Sunday got to the launch and it was a blizzard, snowing sideways and piling up fast. i asked my brother if he just wanted to go home and his reply was --ll no!!
So we launched and ran the 9 miles downriver to the bar with the visibility only at 100 yards. Thankfully I had brought the propane heater. Anchored up and fished for about 6 hours. Fishing wasn't hot but pretty good. Sun came out which made for a nice run back upriver to the launch.
Bought a year round license this time so now I'm set to go back anytime I feel like it ( work permitting)
The cabins at Reynolds are bare bone but not bad and only $25 a night, no water, no bathroom but what the hay we were there to fish.
My 4 fish limit weighted in at 9# filleted out and I ate the Kokanee for dinner tonight.
Enjoy
Bill
P.S. The new boat isn't a virgin any longer we bloodied her deck.

I'm heading there on Wednesday, it will be my first adventure to Rufus (170 miles from yakima, in one day). It will be a long day, but I'm pretty stoked to get up well before sunrise and make the long drive in anticipation of catching one of those monsters. I look forward to seeing your post.
