Re: Broke off piece of lower unit on motor

I had a 90 hp yamaha that did not stay up when backing down a ramp and broke off about 2 inches of the skeg. It can effect steering but shoud not effect how the motor runs, so you may have a second problem with the motor. As for the skeg, they can be repaired by a shop welding on a part. That would ...

Re: question about livescope power use

I was hoping to possibly get a generator but that was a no go. It sounds like I would be ok, I would be running on the big motor some, there is the run up current to troll with it on the kicker and run back up. Then there is the 30 min run into area 4 for bottom fish. Larry as far as trolling motor ...

question about livescope power use

I recently installed a Garmin Livescope but have not had much chance to use it. When I have used it it is great. My question is about how much power it uses. I will be going to Sekiu this month for 3 days. I have a 20ft Hewes Sea runner with a 150 and 9.9 kicker. I have two scotty electric downrigge...

Re: New 2020 regs?

tanker5455 the regs can be picked up in paper form just about anywhere that you can get a fishing license. They are also online, that gives you the full reg pamphlet and the changes after printing. WA also has a app for your phone the has the regs and can use your location to tell you the regs for t...

They are on duty this morning it was not that way at 0530 this morning. Good they got it fixed. They should have done it before sending out the Email. The Regs have been out on paper for a few weeks.

Re: Anyone messed up by the GPS/Y2K rollover issue?

I don't know if the Garmin update was about the rollover but it said I needed to update. This is the first update I have had to do after the install update. And the first time using Active Captain and it worked well. I am hoping to get livescope installed and try it out this week. I have high hope f...

Re: Anyone messed up by the GPS/Y2K rollover issue?

I have an Elite 7 HDI (not chirp) I got it on closeout a few years ago, so it is a litter older. I went here https://downloads.lowrance.com under Elite HDI/CHIRP, I found Elite 7 - with rollover patch. When I first turned in on I had a blue screen after the update all seems fine. I don't know if thi...

Re: Anyone messed up by the GPS/Y2K rollover issue?

Thanks for posting this! It was the first I had heard of it so I was able to up date now and not wonder why things didn't work when I went out on the water. The Garmin active captain took a little time but worked great. The Lowrance gave me a bit of a pain until I remembered it did not like my Mac. ...

Re: Advice on I-pilot/Bow Mount Minn Kota?

I have had a Terrova with I-pilot for several years. I love it. You are correct about models, one option is I-piolt link is also available. The difference is that link will "link" with a Hummingbird to control the boat. With the I-pilot I run it with a remote and can set it to hold a heading or foll...

Re: Anyone have a trailer dolly?

When I had a 15 smoker craft Alaskan I moved it around with one something like you are looking at. It didn't have the height adjustment or the third wheel. Cost around 50 or 60 .When I moved up to a 17ft smoker craft Fazer I couldn't do it by hand and had to go power. The hand power worked fine on g...

Re: Anyone have a trailer dolly?

I have had a "Powermover" dolly for several years and it has worked great. You can call and tell them what you have and how you will be using it for their advice on what you will need. I have one of the smaller ones and it ran around $1,100. I thought when I went from a 17' smoker to my 20' Searunne...
