If you cant catch dumpies on a jig then your DOOMED!! stick with the braid, you need to be able to pull your jig off logs. Dumpies arnt worth loosin tackle over

Hey you can still get out there and fish, you just have to change a few things in your gear choice to make it legal. There will be good numbers of dumpies in by August 1st when it opens back up for salmon.

It was a lot better then I expected the weekend to go. There is plenty of fish in there already. Went 2/3 yesterday and 2/4 today. put in the time and keep at it

More and more fish will come in every day, you just have to be out there when they do. It will get good at the end of the week and on fire the last week its open

No mines the river runner. I have hit 6 or 7 logs, 3 gravel bars and a driveway. It was money well spent.

Its at August levels, which is fairly low. If you look at the MV gauge it has been holding a few hairs above 13ft. The lowest I have ever taken the boat out at gardner is 10ft on the MV gauge. It was a few falls ago and it seemed like a good idea but as I got closer to the tracks it really shallows ...

They have already started to come in. Opens the 16th. Floating the river sounds like a lot of work when all you really have to do is drop your line right along the bank.
