Re: How to get Steelhead (Skykomish)- ADVICE?

Re: Remote camp site advice needed!

Stryker43, The original poster has not been on here since the 11th, has not responded to a PM. Fyi... don’t know if you’ve over to the Sinnlahekin valley this year. I was there in maybe May?? I’ve never seen so much Spring flooding. It was crazy, all the lakes along the back road, Loomis to Conconu...

Re: Remote camp site advice needed!

Thanks guys for the tips! I am looking for something a little more remote though. I've been to Lake Diablo and I'm sure there are places to get pretty lost on it, but I'm looking for a lake (doesn't have to be big) where theres only one road in and you might have to make your own campsite somewhere...

STRIDER43 Thank you for the info. Im not going to be fishing for a few weeks. I live in PA and usually hit the river a couple days when Im out there visiting family. I just don't want to chance going home with a certificate for $1000. That's funny that this came up again as my fishing Buddy just br...

I also live on the west side. It's almost a 5 hour drive for me. When you get back and post your fishing report. Could you please note if the road to Beer Can is open or not and also what the water clarity is like. I've been wanting to go back over, but that's a long drive to find those things out....

Re: Opening Weekend!

I was over at Omak Lake April 25th & 26th and the water was really cloudy with what looked like sediment. The fishing was terrible. I usually hit this lake 3 or 4 times a year and have had an exceptional time. This lake is by far my favorite place to fish. And you're right, there are some really ni...

Re: Skookumuchuck river

I'm a bit confused, according to the WDFW's public access site list, blue creek is open year round, but according to the regulations pamphlet it is closed after april 14th until June 1st...? Which one is correct? Also, Skookumchuck river only open another 2 weeks for steelhead? Seems to be quite a ...

Re: Snake River near Jackson Hole

I will be in Wyoming in the middle of August near Jackson hole. I'm not much of a fly guy but I can fake it if I have to. I was wondering if I can fish the river with conventional gear and/or are there any good lakes close by that can be fished with conventional gear from the bank? Nobody's fished ...

Re: Multiple Poles In Single Pole Lake One Angler

Because of the long set back needed, when I run pop gear in Lake Washington, I use two rods, 1 for the pop gear and 1 for the lure. Pop gear is great at attracting fish but totally kills the fight and can assist the fish in tearing out small and/or thin hooks. how does this work, how do you keep th...

Re: Fishin' Buddies

On another note I'm going to Omak Lake this weekend to see if the fish are cruising the shoreline yet.
I do a lot of lake fishing in the spring and make several trips over to E WA where there is less people and more fish.
