Yes both the Skate and the Tilton were popular.

Re: WDFW Q & A Thread - Questions for Stacie Kelsey, WDFW

Hi everyone!! Sorry for the delay! We don't have the warmwater plants online but I will look into making that available. Both Kress and Swofford were stocked in August of 2014. We are hoping to get additional fish this year but not sure if that decision has been made. At this time there are no plans...

Re: WDFW Q & A Thread - Questions for Stacie Kelsey, WDFW

If Kokanee were not a part of the trout limit it would be specifically listed. See Merwin Reservoir as an example in the pamphlet. For Merwin Kokanee are listed as not a part of the trout limit. For American there is not an additional rule stating Kokanee and trout are separate limits - so they are ...

Re: Warmwater Anglers in SW Washington

Underground tourneys and underground stocking.

Speaking of tourneys - any ideas there that you have on SW Washington waters?

I'm hoping to get around to a lot more this coming summer. Let me know if you'd like me at yours - if they are in SW Washington.

Re: Warmwater Anglers in SW Washington

It sounds like they will not be decreasing. The person in charge of issuing them did his best to make it smoother but was not able too. The decisions came from above us. Your best bet would be to have your clubs write a letter to the director. That is what I have been telling my fish stocking applic...

Re: for those who love bucket biologists as much as I do

I like the ideas being put forth. What about a tourney for the removal of bass? Sort of like a 'make it fun' deal? I'm all for less complicated rules. I think the easiest way to go about it would be an emergency reg that covers going over the statewide limit for bass on THAT particular body of water...

Re: Warmwater Anglers in SW Washington

Personally I think once you get to a point where too much vegetation is removed from a lake, then portions of the fisheries like bass can suffer. That is what happened in Silver Lake. Over the past couple of decades we've been able to refine the stocking ration of carp to make sure we don't have a r...

Re: Black Friday Opener Report - SW Washington

The focus is pretty much trout right now.

The popular bait seems to be neon powerpaits or plain ol juicy worms!

Re: Warmwater Anglers in SW Washington

Oh I have no plans on rehabbing Mineral. We couldn't get that passed even if I tried. Rehabs are not very popular on the west side of the state no matter what their importance is. So the bass are likely there to stay unless we tried to do some sort of transfer. Thing is, the bucket brigade would fol...
