Lake Tapps

Back in the day, Tapps use to be a great LM fishery for big bass. After several severe drawdowns they seem to have disappeared. I haven't been back in a few years. How are they doing? Hopefully they have made a comeback. Thanks

Re: Lake Tapps

Their website says it is open now. They have changed hours to 7 to 7 and increased "parking" fee to $15. They also suggest you limit your stay to 4 hours. Think I'll pass on Tapps for now.

Re: WDFW closes sportfishing statewide

I see that they are still planning to hold the Big Bass Tournament on Potholes on May 8th. I don't see how they can do that with the ban on overnight camping and restricted travel.

Re: Signs of the season

Every year, there is one particular day when it's like somebody throws a switch and all the frogs in the ponds across the street start croaking. That usually tells me to start sharpening hooks and re-spooling reels.. This year, it's telling me to go back to bed. ](*,)

Re: Lakemaster cards

I am pleased to report that I was contacted by a gentleman from Johnson Outdoors who monitors some of the usual forums and saw my post suggesting a lake in Washington be added to the Lakemaster Western Region Card. He seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say and asked all the right questions...

Lakemaster cards

I was thinking about getting a Lakemaster card for my Helix 7 but as I was looking at the lake list, I didn't see Potholes. Could this be? How can they not include what is arguably the most popular lake in Washington? Am I missing something here? I really was looking forward to the water level offse...

Lake Tapps

Cascade Water Alliance website show Tapps water level came up 5 feet in less than a week and is now at full pool. That is got to be a cold blast of glacier water on those fish. I wonder how that will effect the spawn and when that might start. I guess it's going to depend on getting some sunshine. :...

Water Levels

Forgive me if this is common knowledge, but I've been trying to get ahold of this info for years. B of R just released a website that tells you currrent water levels on most of the popular reservoirs in E Wash. =D>

Re: Washington Crawfish Colors

I was fishing the Snake River at Boyer Park for the first time several years ago. The first smallie I caught coughed up a brilliant orange crawfish. I started digging up any lure I had that was orange. Cranks, grubs, tubes all caught fish that day as long as it was orange.

I bought a new Helix 7 and I'm wanting to put a nav chip in it. I was thinking about LakeMaster but Potholes isn't on the lake list. Really? Am I missing something? What are some of you guys using? Thanks
