Re: Coho flies

I second the clousers! Love those things. I always have the red/white, blue/white, chartreuse/white...never done purple, but that probably needs to find its way into my box.

Re: Crappie Fishing in Snohomish County

Roesiger shows that it has crappie, on the dfw site. I've never fished for them there...just trout and kokanee. Definitely could get your boat in there, though. I remember lots of pads in the middle section...unless I'm thinking of another lake. Could be a good place to look and probably some bass a...

Re: 2018-2019 Regs/ Spokane River

Thanks for the heads up! I was trying to flip through regs yesterday and thought something funky was going on there. It would suck to get a ticket for that, when they misprint, but best to follow what it says. I will be curious to see how these new koke regs work out for the lakes that are "trophy" ...

Looking for fly suggestions for targeting Chinook on the skykomish. Staying hopefull that the season opens in June! If anyone is looking for a fishing partner I'm available every evening and weekend! [biggrin] Can't help you with the fly selection, as I am wondering the same, but I would be willing...

Re: Antilon Lake....Lower

Not real familiar with it...but we did stop once and fished with kastmasters from the shore (for like 20 mins) and caught a brown. There were fish surfacing. It was about this time of year as well. I'm sure you will get into something!! You'll be better off with your 'toon.

Re: Cutthroat

And I've been sticking close to home, 8-2 has been awesome since I started fly fishing in January. Lots of rezzies and 10 blackmouth ( 4 keepers) so far. Hoping for one more before the season closes. https://s20.postimg.cc/wwgs3u919/20180304_065558.jpg Very nice! I'm kicking my self for not chasing...

Re: Roosevelt 'eyes

Yeah, I worry about the wind for sure. That's why I was thinking hawk creek might protect me some and provide a couple fish. I will have to buy some flags, as I do not have any right now. All I have fished is smaller bodies of water. I've worked on the ocean and eaten a ton of different fish and wal...

Re: Roosevelt 'eyes

I was ready to offer up a bunch of information to help you get into some walleye until I got to the part of your post about not paying to use the launch. Right now the water levels are to low for anybody to launch with a trailer so shore launching is about the only other option. We (folks with boat...

Roosevelt 'eyes

I was wondering if anyone familiar with Lake Roosevelt could PM me a little about the Spokane Arm and nearby areas. I know how to fish for walleye and what to use (grew up fishing the Mississippi River fishing for them). My problem is that I do not have a boat, so I fish out of my kayak. What I am w...

My first impression is a resident bow or maybe a smolt escapee that decided to stay in the river. Hard to say, really.

Re: Ice Reports 2016-2017

Hey guys! I am up in Lake Stevens...long drive out east. A buddy and I are trying to go to moses or lind coulee. I know that the ice should be good to go. I was wondering if anyone has any fishing reports for the last few days in either area. I want to make sure it's not dead dead. Long drive to go ...

Re: Cascade/Upper Skagit help...Any Reports??

Managed 2 nice hens this morning!! They have some color, but cut up pretty nice. Fish were not biting well. Did catch a little jack on eggs right off the bat, but no other takers on eggs. Resorted to drifting. Caught the two and missed a few others. They were pretty feisty! Fun morning...I may head ...

The cascade is tough when it's low.
A lot of rapids in upper skagit?? I've never been in that area before. I'm not against walking around the bigger ones.

Re: Cascade/Upper Skagit help...Any Reports??

The cascade has good reports with success drifting eggs or floating them. Fish will trickle in until november. The Skagit is more of a boat show with plugs doing having success. Good luck!! Thanks! I will be around this December and the first week or two of January if you want to meet up for steelh...

Cascade/Upper Skagit help...Any Reports??

Hi everybody! A couple friends and myself are going to the cascade river and upper skagit tuesday and wednesday to try for some coho and whatever else we can catch. I'm up to date on all the current regulations. Just in search of reports, if anybody's been up there fishing since it opened? Never fis...

Cowlitz Steel Report??

Hey all! I'm headed down to the cowlitz Monday night and fishing Tuesday and maybe Wednesday. I was wondering how the summer run has been going so far. Anyone been fishing recently? My buddy and I are hopefully gonna get our fix. He has never caught a steelhead and I just started fishing for them la...

I have always wanted to walk in and fish Pass lake, but the one possible time, my daughter was hiking with me, and she got bored, and back to the car we went. If you get in there soon, maybe send me a PM or something. Just would like to hear the layout, what you think of it, etc. I will be going ba...

Re: Good early alpinelakes

I might be heading to boardman, coal, pass and independence tomorrow...if the weather isn't too rainy. They are all easy access and early enough there wouldn't be a crowd other than a few hikers. I hiked up lake twenty two early this week and there was a decent amount of surfacing....midday.
