Re: Questionable fishing techniques

#2, take your instruction from the state's regs. and #3, probably the biggest... If you have a moment of not understanding the regulation, call or email the State with a specific question. I would say the email is the way to go. Then you can have that person from the WDFWs opinion in writing. It ma...

Re: Sunset Lake in Pierce Co?

The state did not stock Silver lake when the resort was closed a few years ago. I dont know, and with a quick search on WDFW could not find what the rule is. Maybe it is considered open to the public even if it is a fee access. You don't have to stay at the resort to use the launch, you only have to...

Re: Runner board thingies on trailer??

That is the staples I got. I was in a rush and picked up just what I needed by accident. I didn't even check the price until i got home and was shocked looking at the sales slip. I didn't even think about it and would have put any staples in and been doing the job again in a year or two.

Re: Runner board thingies on trailer??

The marine grade stainless staples ran around $25 a box for my stapel gun. I got them at Mclendons. I got the carpit at Sportsmans warehouse. I didn't have a lot of time and needed to get it local. I had to replace all the hardware too. So my job was more then just the wood bunks. I did see online t...

Re: Product Review Video - VacuPack

I have used a foodsaver vac from costco for years and liked it. It needed to be replaced and last spring I got a new one from costco that was automatic. I had a lot of fish to seal at Sekiu and it would quit after 4 bags, and I let it set and cool for hours and it would do 1 or 2. It went back to co...

Re: heading to the puyallup tomorrow

I apologize if it came across as hostile. That was not at all the intent. Also I do not need to calm down; I am not worked up over this. I think one of the things about this forum is education of our self and the others who would read it. So when I see a statement that the game wardens closed it dow...

Re: heading to the puyallup tomorrow

I want to say I will stand by my first post "The game wardens didn't shut it down". It has been a few days and Goonatic has not said he was on the open part of the river. Also I just got a email from wdfw reminding people of the closures and stating they have given a lot of warnings. It seems someon...

Re: Question for smoked Pink salmon

What do you guys think of the lil' chief? I have used a lil chief for years, moved up to a big chief for more room. I like them for fish, jerky and sausage. I now have a pellet grill I am not in love with and may go back to a gas fired drum type smoker for BBQ type smoking. I have not tried the pel...

Re: heading to the puyallup tomorrow

I see now where the white comes in. I had been told that was the Stuck and the White came in closer to Orting.
If I am looking at this right The Stuck and White are the same,so the Puyallup is open above Sumner?

Re: heading to the puyallup tomorrow

The game wardens didn't shut it down, it was not open. You are lucky they didn't had out big tickets. They were nice to everyone to only tell them it was shut down. It opens back up on 9/3.

Re: Gamefish as Bait

G-man that was my point on asking if the trout was live. The problem for us is that the pamplet is NOT the RCW or WAC and there can be laws not in the pamplet. The law may still contain the "no gamefish for bait. they just didn't put it in the pamplet. An officer told me we are held to the law not j...

Re: Gamefish as Bait

Were the trout live? If not I don't see the problem, I don't see anything in the regs.
also as for using salmon for bait.
page 12 of the regs "you may not' "Use salmon , herring , or halibut for
anything other than human consumption or
fishing bait."

Re: Carbon Monoxide sticker

Another thing that is good to know about CO is that our red blood cells that carry O2 (oxygen) will grab CO about 200 times faster than it grabs O2. And it will hold on to it not allowing us to get O2. We get some CO all the time; if you smoke you are getting CO when you smoke. If some one gets high...

Re: Carbon Monoxide sticker

I got the tag last year or the year before. I think this came from the person "teak surfing" that died a few years ago. A boat with even a part closed cover could be a problem when going slow like trolling or towing a boat. I helped pulled a woman and child off a boat with a flying bridge and a semi...
