Re: Carbon Monoxide sticker

I got the tag last year or the year before. I think this came from the person "teak surfing" that died a few years ago. A boat with even a part closed cover could be a problem when going slow like trolling or towing a boat. I helped pulled a woman and child off a boat with a flying bridge and a semi...

Re: how are dogfish categorized in the regs?

According to the dogfish cookbook (yes it is a real cook book) you need to soak them in vinegar and water or lemon juice and water to neutralize the urea in the meat. When I tried it I thought it didn't have any flavor. Not bad just no taste.

Re: slide-in truck camper

I had a hard side slide in 8ft camper, not self contained and we used an electric heater in the campgrounds. I now have a 8 ft pop up Palomino Bronco. With both space was an issue. When I had the hard side I had two little girls and pulled a boat. Now it is the wife and I and a boat. In cold weather...

Re: crawfish 2013

Every shellfish pot, ring net, or star trap left unattended in Washington waters must have its own buoy line and a separate buoy that is permanently
and legibly marked with the operator’s first name, last name, and permanent address (telephone number is voluntary).

Re: Camping At PotHoles

The bathrooms are just like at Steamboat. We like the state park over Mardon for the size of the spaces. At Mardon you can dock your boat and the store is right there. There are other camping grounds/RV parks right in the area. I don't know about them but there is one accross from the state park and...

Re: PLEASE HELP! BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!

Two years ago the pinks were there in July and I don't think they were too picky. We were using flashers with Coho Killers and flashers with squid. We got kings early in the day and pinks all day. Troll a little faster than for kings. I am sure the dodger pink squid would work. Ask around when you a...

Re: Garmin Oregon 550t

I got the 550t last year when my old GPS died. I am still getting use to some of the things it does. I paid the $30 for the sat photos, I really like that, and a hunting map program I got (http://www.huntinggpsmaps.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).The map program tells me what lan...

Re: leech traping

I was planning on using a coffee can with liver inside and the top bent almost closed. Leave it on the bottom all night and see what I get. Just the string and 1 hour might be worth a try. I’m thinking in the dunes or crab creek area.

leech traping

I am thinking of trying to trap leeches in Potholes for fishing. I know you have to use them in the water you get them. Has any done it?

Re: electric downriggers

I have an 1101 running braid and an 1106 with wire. I got the 1106 last year and am using the wire it came with. I lost gear with wire in the past so I am giving braid a try on the older 1101. I have been running this way for a year in salt and fresh water. 15Lb fro salt and 6 or 8 for fresh. The br...

go to the game dept web site and under hunting go to "go hunt" download the map of the area you are looking at hunting. It shows state and fed land. If you have a Garmin GPS you may be able to use a map program that shows who's land you are on. http://www.huntinggpsmaps.com" onclick="window.open(thi...

Re: Small creek CrawDad traps?

I cut a 3X5 panel in my cone trap and sew it in with 1/8" cotton, same as I use on my crab pots. I have had the same cord for years on the crab pots with out any problem.

Click on the site name and it will tell you if you can camp. The Lind Coulee arm has a lot. Also look at some of the seep lakes.
