Re: vacuum seal life jackets?

new idea time. the suction cups don't work in the livewell. There are these ridges in there, that prevent the bin from sitting flush or close enough to stay put, lol. There's a slot for a divider in my livewell. I'm thinking i'll pick up a plastic cutting board or something like that and just "box" ...

Re: vacuum seal life jackets?

Not too hard to think about really. What do life jacket use for floatation? What does a VAC Pac machine do to the items you seal with it? How long do you have to get them out and ready? Answer number 1. AIR Answer number 2. Sucks all the air out. Answer number 3. Not long enough. Just not a good id...

Re: vacuum seal life jackets?

access must be QUICK, and EASY to get to, not buried under tackle, ropes, paddles, and stuff. NOT in a package that needs to be opened. Well, that isn't going to work. Hmmm, not sure what I can put in there that wont potentially damage the nozzle. Hmmm, maybe I can get a plastic bin, that's just sm...

vacuum seal life jackets?

I'm looking for ways to utilize my livewell. I don't want to put tackle in boxes in there. Afraid it will slide around and bust the nozzles. I'm thinking soft life jackets will be perfect in there, but I don't want them to get wet and moldy. Want to protect them. Possible to do this? I do not have a...

Re: Camping At PotHoles

Could be good or could be bad. It will probably be better than May - maybe :) Check the historical reports to get a feel for how it could go. Chances are pretty good there will be no snow or ice... ;) Is there currently snow or ice in the area? I want to camp and fish in decent weather. Also, how i...

Seattle Boat Show

I think I live in the wrong state.

Only saw a handful of multi-species boat. Zero "bass" boats.

Was cool checking out the Humminbird booth.

Not going to bother next year unless I change tastes.

Went to the Sportsmen Show

Never been there before. Cool experience, but wasn't my type of show I guess. Mostly hunting and river/sound fishing stuff, and rv/campers. Must be bc of the area and demographics. Was cool checking some of the safes and found some good price 22LR. I was hoping to see more types of fishing boats. I ...

Re: Earliest You Can Buy or Renew Fishing License For Next Y

In case anyone else is wondering, this is what WDFW told me today.

"Fishing licenses will be available beginning around November 27th for the 2016 license season that is April 1st 2016 through March 31st 2017."

Re: Earliest You Can Buy or Renew Fishing License For Next Y

Have to go to a license place and get it redone, will probably cost $10 for the replacement. But I'm guessing. I don't need a replacement. I still have my current one. I just want to buy another one for the next year. Also, the last time I tried to buy it at the shop, they said they couldn't do it ...

Re: Trailer lights

If you have a HarborFreight around you, they have a pretty nice set of LED lights you can buy. Granted, I don't use mine is SW, but they've been great for about 4-5 years now. I did open them up and apply marine silicone around the seams just in case. Most definitely use lined heat-shrink tubing. Ge...

Earliest You Can Buy or Renew Fishing License For Next Year?

IIRC, the current one is good through end of March? Anyways, I want to make some changes on my license, but I don't want to buy a new one now, if it'll only be good through March.

I hate both.

Well, depends on how high the heat is. mid 70s to high 70s is perfect for me. I can survive the higher heat, just don't prefer it.

Just How Dumb Is It To Camp During July @ Potholes?

I have to use up vacation hours..... I'm thinking of going camping at either Potholes or Banks. I've been to both State Parks before. As of right now, I see several openings for the timeframe I want at Potholes. It appears Banks is booked, so I'm pretty confident I can cross that off my list. Lookin...
