Everett Derby this weekend

Not looking good for the Derby this weekend, wind waves of 2-4' on saturday with rain and lightening. Sunday wind waves increasing to 4-6'.
Looks like I am passing the derby up this year. If its not too bad I may hit the river on Sunday but an Aluminum boat and lightening puts saturday out for sure.

Re: October 5th 2013 Snohomish/Skykomish riverside clean up

I will try to attend, even if its just to meet all those WALakers who appear to have won the lottery so they can spend everyday fishing while the rest of us bums work.

Re: small boat anchoring

The fluke anchor is fine. I use one on my 15' duraboat and it holds just fine in the Snohomish and on the sound. I used to have the same anchor on a glass boat with no issues. I have 4' of chain and then 50' of rope.

Re: Fishing Buddies/Open Boat Availablity List

I plan on putting in early tomorrow (sat) at rotary park on the Snohomish. I have a 15'duraboat and have room for one maybe two. I am working the Everett farmers market this afternoon so if you are interested send me a text. 425-583-8139. Please don't call as I will be too busy to answer.

Best line for downrigger rods

I need to replace the line on some of my rods and coming from Europe most of the brands for sale here are not known to me. I recently purchased some 15lb line for my kids rod and after just one trip know I am going to replace it. Looking to you folks who know the brands to point me in the direction ...

Creel reports

Tuesday thru Thursday the reports for Everett & Mukilteo were looking really good, then friday it dropped right off. Saturdays report was barely .5 fish per rod and sunday was just over 1 fish per rod. Dont feel so bad about getting skunked on the river with salt numbers that low.

Re: Waiting for pinks...

Still a ways off, I stopped by the Mukilteo ramp this morning at 10.30 and they had only 28 pinks and 2 silvers noted.
Looked to be enough boats out to walk from shipwreck to possesion without getting wet

Re: how are dogfish categorized in the regs?

In England anytime you saw "Rock Salmon" on the menu at the fish and chip shop you knew it was dog fish.

Re: Yamaha outboard service

As I was not happy with the Service/tuneup I had previously got and as I could not afford another $300+ bill from another shop I decided to take things into my own hands. After a little trial and error I discovered the lower of the three carbs did not appear to be working correctly, so I took it off...

Re: Yamaha outboard service

I will have to check them out, looks like the place I used was not a good choice. I have been replacing all the wiring due to some issues and decided that while I was at it I would check the cyclinder compression as I was curious as to what it was. Turns out the compression is fine, but one of the n...

Yamaha outboard service

I am in Snohomish and looking for a good and preferably not too expensive service shop. I have a Yamaha 40hp and the shop I just went to seemed ok but after they were done decided to let me know they did not have the computers for electronics on the Yamaha, kinda wish I had known that going in.

Re: How do you put a value on a used boat

I finally went out and dropped the cash on a boat. It was not 100% what I wanted but it was pretty damn close. Pretty much within budget. Just need to take it in and get the engine serviced to be on the safe side http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/2553/0531132013.jpg http://img843.imageshack.us/img8...

How do you put a value on a used boat

I have been looking for a while now and in most cases notice that the asking price of most halfway decent boats is significantly above what the Nada boat value gives. For example one I saw wanted 5000 but the Nada value for the boat was under 2000 (includes motor and trailer) Although this particula...
