RE:Turtles on the west side of the mountens
Yup, I've seen them on Fazon. Not too many but it's usually right before dusk when the activity on the lake has died down a little and I'm getting ready for some night cat fishing.

RE:Evergreen reservoir worth the trip?
My son and I finally ended up going to Evergreen, we saw 3 muskies. One of which grabbed my Rapala Husky Jerk but I didn't get a good enough hookset to seal the deal. None of the muskies had any size to them though, I doubt any of them were 36" and they were all pretty skinny. I guess I'm used to se...

RE:Evergreen reservoir worth the trip?
Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to pass on Curlew, it's about another 2.5 hrs past Banks (per Mapquest) and I don't think my 10 year old will be too excited about additional road trip time. We'll be coming from Bellingham. Maybe we'll just hang out at Banks and try our hand at walleye fishing...

RE:Favorite Bass-lures
Hands down my favorite is the silver flitter shad Zara Spook. I've just recently started giving jigs an honest try and they're quickly becoming my favorite, although detecting strikes is still kinda tough. With the Spook, there's no question !

Evergreen reservoir worth the trip?
My son and I will be staying at Banks Lake for a few days walleye and bass fishing, and I was thinking about taking a break and giving Evergreen Reservoir a try for some tigers. I fished for them for years in Mayfield but my son has always been left at home (big boys' trip). My guess is it's about a...

RE:Spiderwire without wire leaders ?
Thanks for the input, I'm on the west side. (Just updated my profile) I fish for muskies almost exclusively in Mayfield although I hit Fazon hard after they stocked it. (no luck) I'd also like to try Tapps this year.

Spiderwire without wire leaders ?
Just wanting to get other opinions on this, I use 50# spiderwire braid but when I downsize the lure, if I'm using a wire leader, it will sometimes kill the action of the lure. Anybody just use a braided superline without a leader?

RE:Fazon Lake Muskie (B'ham)
Hate to tell you this but I spoke with the biologist who originally stocked the lake and he said they have shocked the lake numerous times and didn't find any tigers left. He basically said not to waste my time. I fished for them religiously for a few years and always heard someone who had a friend ...
