RE:Your Favorite Musky Lake

My #1 has got to be Mayfield, I have a ton of happy memories. Every year I go there just adds to them. My least favorite has got to be Tapps, sorry guys, but it's too noisy and crowded. Evergreen isn't bad and it definitely gets you away from crowds, although, I worry if my truck will still have whe...

RE:Boat Demo and fishing trip

Show me how to catch a fish like that Muskie in your photo and I'll be your freind too. Are you fishing the Tapps or Mayfield event coming up? No tournaments for me. Not that I'm against them or anything, but there are a lot of people around that are way better at catching tigers than me and I hate...

SWEET.. give me your boat and I'll be your friend!

RE:favorite way to cook salmon

Top the fillet with butter, brown sugar, lemon, big chunks of onion, salt and pepper. Wrap it in foil and barbecue it. I also keep it from drying out by drizzling it with beer. My grandfather used to cook it this way and every time I do this, it brings back happy memories. The secret is to always dr...

Lake Roosevelt, Arizona. I haven't been there in years but I'm looking forward to going back someday.

RE:Your favorite lure?

When the time is right, I'll throw a silver flitter shad Zara Spook Puppy. Nothing better for me than throwing one right at dusk after a hot day. By the way, using a pistol grip casting rod helps alleviate a lot of wrist stress when using them.

RE:R U Ready For Some Football

I am so ready for some football. As a Patriots fan, I hope the o-line can keep it together so we don't have a repeat of last year.(Furiously knocking on wood)

I hear ya racfish. It's funny that you mention how stealthy they are because that was my first thought,"Am I seeing things??" I didn't hear a sound.

RE:Bear story with photos

I ran into one up near Ione a few years ago while I was deer hunting. It ended well for both of us but after being within 30 yards of a grizzly, I don't go anywhere without packing my 44mag. It was a pretty cool thing to see but after I stopped shaking, I decided that once in a lifetime is good enou...

RE:Are you a Boat Ramp Hog?

I learned a valuble lesson when aiding and helping folks. I was up mudding in my 4x4 up at Reiter mud pits when I hit a puddle at 35 mph .I was taking photos of muddind when my truck entered and just sank.I couldnt shut my motor off or the mud wouldve backed up into the motor . I was there stuck fo...

RE:Are you a Boat Ramp Hog?

Had a boat ramp experience today. Upon our arrival, we show up in time to witness a guy that launched a boat that obviously didn't start to begin with. He proceeds to drive his truck down the ramp and cram the boat sideways as close as possible to the truck so he could attempt to jump start the boat...

Wolverine, I agree with everything you stated above except for the ACB comment. Where did you hear about the large backlog of contracts?

RE:Bass boat recommendations

Swede, as much as I value your's and everyone else's input on this topic, we're not talking about wooden ocean boats. If you have issues with Gisteppo and/or his boats , please don't hijack my thread in order to throw fuel on that fire. This thread is about bass boats and their options/features. Wha...

RE:Bass boat recommendations

You guys both make very good points and thank you for your input, but we're kind of getting off track here. Gisteppo, the thought of repairing Woody did cross my mind, but unfortunately, I don't have the time, woodworking knowledge, or space in which to do it. I build aluminum boats for the military...
