RE:Fishing the bottom side of the Hood Canal bridge

Just to pass on.... if you go to the park which is located about 500 ft. north of the bridge. (that's the turn off) They have done a little work in there, they replaced their dock with a larger dock. This is primarily a boat launch. However the dock is quite a bit bigger than the small one that was ...

Fishing the bottom side of the Hood Canal bridge

I don't know why I never thought to put this one to this group before. Up until the construction work of about 2 years ago, I used to fish the bottom side of the Hood Canal bridge. (This was totaly legit) There was a walkway that went down under where the cars drive and it opened up to an area that ...

Twin Ponds I-5 and 145th N. Seattle

Ok, times are slow in the secret lakes dept. A little while back I discovered a park not far from my house. It is kind of secluded so that is why I never saw it. I think it was called Twin Ponds park or something. Anyway it is maybe just 1 or 2 city blks off of Interstae 5 and about 1 blk north of t...

RE:Regulations on gas/electric motors on lake

Thanks for your replies, but just for the record, I am totaly clear on the rules regarding what type of motor can be hanging off your boat on what type of lake, etc. I am only looking for a better source of info. telling me which lakes allow which motors. The fishing regs. only mention a few of the ...

Regulations on gas/electric motors on lake

Can someone tell me how I can get the exact scoop on whether or not a lake is specificly a "No internal combustion motors lake" or whether it is no motors at all. ( No electric, no absolutely nothing, etc.) Before you say look in the regs. There are lakes in there which say what the rule is,, and th...

Motor weights and 2/4 stroke?

I guess this is sort of a boat topic? I can't take it any longer....... looking for a used 25 hp motor. I am not having any luck. I had a couple of questions... can anyone tell me roughly the weight of a 25 hp longshaft tiller? Now I think that it is different if 4 stroke or two stroke, obviously. W...

Anchor types?

:-k Ok, I wasn't sure which forum to place this in, so it winds up here. I need better anchors for my 14 ft. Lund. I have one of those kind that sort of unfolds and then supposedly graps into the sandy bottom. Also I have a 15 pound one that is a rounded bottom with sort of a cone top. ( I know the ...

RE:fishing technique for using real crawfish

Hold up fellas....... I sure do appreciate your replies, but I should have clarrified that I didn't mean live crawfish. You can buy live C.F. at the market in Seattle, but by the time you get them home, and then to the lake, they are not alive. Buy hey, any crawfish is a shweet looking meal. If you ...

How far are you willing to go from Redmond? I can think of lots of stuff, but some will take an overnigt, which is all the better if you ask me.

RE:Big Headed Trout

I believe you said that you were fishing alpine lakes in the cascades. I grew up fishing in those types of areas. It was almost always my observation that alpine lk. trout were both more skinny and more aggresive for their size than lowland lake trout. I kind of viewed that as that those lakes are f...

Picture corner

On the Home Page... the picture corner thing on the left is something I really enjoy. Somehow I thought there would be a way to access the bank of pics. Is this possible? Maybe I just have to rely on what loads up itself?

thanks,
chris

RE:BASSACKWARDS - VOTED "MOST CREATIVE HANDLE"

Yes, Yes, I have to give a shout to Fishinislife for opening up some really creative threads that have united people closer together on this board. I'm talking about the other thread regarding "Tell a little about yourself" or something like that. This is a very cool board and it's nice to read a li...

RE:Bait Boxes?

I know it seems kind of silly, but even in an ice chest they seem to take on water. Of course one option would be to put them in a small tupperware, and then put that in a small ice chest. I was just curious if anyone has purchased a bait box that is effective.

Bait Boxes?

Well..... I've been trying my best to get into some serious bass fishing techniques,, but I just gotta admit it... I'm a sucka for fishing with night crawlers. My problem is when it's this warm out I always have a hard time keeping the crawlers healthy. I've tried putting their little styro. contain...

Wanted: 25 HP Long Shaft outboard

I am looking for a 25 HP Long Shaft motor for my 14' Lund Deep V. I would prefer something within the last 12-12 years, low hours etc.
I am in Seattle, but I would look at something either on the Olympic Penn. or up down the I-5 corridor.
Go ahead and PM me.

Thanks,
Chris

RE:My Favorite Beer is.... You must be 21 to enter

Oh man, this just bites. I quit drinking about 6 months ago, and boy did I like the porters. There is a particular beer from Poland it's called Boss. Don't go for the lighter one. I know I will sound like a beer snob here, but if there is one good reason to live near a metropolitan area, it's access...
