RE:A touching memorial
Yeah. I second the Gringo Pescador. I would be very interested in being involved with any sort of a bench "Put together" if something like this came up. And I also sure hope that these benches get some good use before any trouble insues, (sp?)

RE:Removable Oar Locks
It sounds like with the seating configuration it would be tricky to row even if you had oarlocks. How about push pole for when it gets really weedy or shallow?[/quote]
When you say "Push Pole"....... do you just mean any old long lengthy pole? Or is there something that is sold to do the job?

Nothin' funny about that one.
RE:Avatar's
Glad you asked about avitars.... I can cleanse my conscience. My son likes to go out on the Sound and catch dog fish. While most people hate them, 8 y/o boys think they're SHARKS! and very cool. We caught this pretty good size one, and I wanted him to pose for a picture with it. He started freakin' ...

RE:Float Tubing 4 BASS
Bassackwards, I also have a "FatCat" tube, the maker escapes me at the moment. You can just google it. This tube is very nice that it sits mostly out of the water. You sit on a foam sort of cushion. You are in the water from the just below your knees. I wouldn't wear waders with this setup unless it...

Removable Oar Locks
Can someone tell me how/if I can put some kind of a removable oar lock on the gunwhales of my 14' 2007 Lund? Isn't there some kind of mechanism made that will attach itself to the top of the gunwhale? I have a completely smooth edged gunwhale. To complicate matters the layout of the boat does not ha...

No, I am afraid this one has not been taken up. Realizing that trout season is coming to a close soon, but you would have a bag of goodies waiting for someone for the Spring. or stocking stuffers.

RE:Beaver Lake (King Co.)
I too managed to get through that shallow channel in a 14' alum. the smaller lake was nice and quiet. The guy from this list who I fished with with would have probably won the current (catch 5 species contest) I think that night he caught 5 diff. species, I'd never seen that before, it was kind of w...

Free simple tackle for kids
I am going through some stuff and thinning down the tackle box. Sometimes family members have bought me tackle that doesn't apply to how I fish, etc. (Sometimes you just have lures that you have been looking at for 15 years, and yet never will tie on your line) I have some brand new stuff mostly tha...

Question re: water cabbage in the motor intake
I ask this question only with the the attached comment "There are supposedly no stupid questions" That being said.... Do I need to be concerned with using my 25 hp Merc. in waters that are EXTREMELY full of weeds? This week I was out one night in a lake that is 450 acres, and the entire lake is only...

RE:Fishing for surf perch @ Westport
Dave, I had a blast doing this about 7 years ago now, went off the beach north of Copalis. I caught what I'd call Surf perch. I won't re post my story here, but you had better look close at the fish meat if you keep and cook them. I had lots of worms in mine. don't let me detract from what you'r e d...

I guess it all depends on your prospective. ( I speak of the newspaper article writer's perspective I mean) My wife's side of the family is all from Louisianna and crawfish are a huge part of our life, I am looking at 3lbs in freezer at this moment. I just think it is great to see any crawfish found...

RE:*Freshwater Multi-Species Contest* - And the winner is.......
The rulez are simple. -You must catch 5 different freshwater species -You must be pictured with the fish holding up the O-tay sign (example below) -A report must be made of your fishing trip and posted under fishing reports on the home page -And a picture of the fish with you making the O-tay sign m...

RE:Shoecraft lake near Marysville?
Definently wanted to thank you in advance for the tip on the bad launch. Is it just a matter of you have to back your trailer in the lake like 40' or something in order to get depth clearance?
Thanks

Shoecraft lake near Marysville?
Have any of you fished Shoecraft lake near Marysville this year? Some of the very old reports looked promising, but I think there wasn't anything too recently posted. I thought of checking it out.
