agree, you can totally do this repair, pretty easy. It won't look like factory new but it will perform just fine. Paying to have it done may not be worth it to be honest. BTW, in my experience, running bare metal on the guide has never been an issue. Guess I've been lucky!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the longggg time offline. We had to get some point of attack issues resolved which were causing some serious forum and site issues. A special thanks to Aaron Borg for fixing them and hopefully this issue has been put to bed going forward.
