Re: Sportsman’s Warehouse to open at East Wenatchee Mall

good stores, well stocked with gear. I was under-whelmed with Hooked On Toys. Felt claustrophobic in there. I very much agree that we're very limited here in the Wenatchee Valley. I do most of my sporting goods shopping on-line but there's a lot to be said for hands on shopping. I really like to fe...

Sportsman’s Warehouse to open at East Wenatchee Mall

http://www.wenatcheeworld.com/news/2013/jul/09/sportsmans-warehouse-to-open-at-mall/#.Udyf0ugDTMU.facebook I've never been into a Sportsman’s warehouse before. How are they? Hooked on Toys is finally going to have some competition. (I hope) It can't be all bad since Hooked on Toys jacked up the pri...

Re: Wanapum Dam

Does anyone know where the best place to put in at Wanapum dam ? Above dam or below ? This will be my first time there.. Thanks On the bottom side of the dam is best for fishing. The launch is a long single lane with no dock at the bottom. This time of year the waters running high so the launching ...

Re: Boat-in camping

Hi Guys, I'm looking for boat-in camping spots with good fishing. They need to have an outhouse--not just a hole over a log. I know there's some at Lake Chelan, anyone been to those (and whether they get crowded) or know other lakes? Thanks. There's a nice boat in camping spot about half way betwee...

Re: Columbia - Brewster area

that sounds pretty reasonable, good deal! ok since this is looking doable... one more question (until the next).... is there any kind of marina? my boat is a cabin cruiser, i'm half tempted to just anchor and camp on the boat overnight. No Marina, but you could anchor up anywhere on the river. Just...

Re: Columbia - Brewster area

thanks, thats good info. I'm a little more timid with the new fiberglass boat. how is the launch in Brewster? there are a few slots still available for that salmon derby and I'm toying around with the idea. It's a nice two lane launch with a dock. Get there early or wait a few because it gets backe...

Dustin07 wrote:what's this area around Brewster like, where they have the big salmon derby? is the water deep?
Deep water until you get to the mouth of the Okanogan River then you'll need to be careful. The Brewster Pool runs over a hundred feet in most places and thirty to fourty feet deep getting there.

Another thing that helps to keep their attention is spend a few minutes teaching her how to drive the boat. (Never taking your hands off of the controls) and make sure she has a well fitting PFD.

Yes, it's needed for the Columbia and anything that flows into it.

One thing that I ran into while shopping for my camera was Canon has image stabilization built into their lenses which makes the lenses very expensive while Nikon has the image stabilization built into the camera body which makes the body more expensive but the lenses much more affordable.
