Re: Where are the Baker Lake Sockeye?

Possibly but the fish that I've seen jumping at Ala Spit and off the beach at Snee-oosh are sockeye.

I/we'll be up at Baker for 4 or 5 days this week so I'll try to get a comprehenive report out Monday or Tuesday next week.

Re: Where are the Baker Lake Sockeye?

Another thing to consider; we are on something like 40 days with no measurable percipitation. Through June and July we usually have brief but intense periods of rain. There are a ton of fish in the salt off Ala Spit and Snee-oosh Beach. Also the 8-1 crabbers I know are seeing huge schools of salmon ...

Re: Where are the Baker Lake Sockeye?

So..., I'm wondering. Forecast is for 47,000 fish. Less 50% for the various tribes = 23,500 available for escapement and the sports fishery. With 3 or 4 weeks to go the count is at 12,434 sockeye. If they were able to trap an average of 395 fish a day through the end of the run they would still hit ...

Re: Lost and Found, Lost, Help!

Good news! Even though we had already done a "follow the dots" drive looking for the box when we discovered it missing and found nothing; yesterday I walked the first part of the drive (I have a well beaten path to the non-ethanol station...). About 100 feet from the driveway I noticed the box sitti...

Re: Trailer ??

Might be able to swing a deal on the trailer below. I believe it was listed 20 days ago, maybe giving you some bargaining power. Have not seen the trailer but based in the pictures it looks sound.

Re: lakes close by

Sammamish ma be a good option, cutts, cutts and more cutts. It also offers up a solid perch fishery. Rumor has it that it also has a landlocked coho fishery but the opportunity may be in the form of a WDFW olive branch... :-"

Re: Wireless Trolling Motor

0523171548_HDR.jpgThe new Riptide Ulterra 80# arrived last week and we got it installed over the weekend and took it out today for a test run in the salt. The only issue we had was that the fin was crooked when we took it out of the box - it wasnt pointing straight down. After some searching and a ...

Re: Boating courtesy to land lubbers

Well we can see which side of the fence your on, tight lines dude go catch a big one. Not really a "sides" issue. We have an expanding population and limited recreational resources. Everyone needs to work together, be considerate and understanding that the rivers are a shared resource. If I'm drift...
