Re: Who's having issues with navigating website via cell phone?

I've made several menu modifications today. Stick working on some imperfections, but I think the overall site menu on mobile is a lot better now. Add to that the links towards the top of the forum I added for Unread, New and Active topics... no need to go to the menu for those anymore. I'll get back...

Re: Who's having issues with navigating website via cell phone?

I'm beginning to implement the changes to make navigation easier on a phone. I've replaced the main menu system to start. For some reason I'm seeing that a double tap is needed to open the menu from the forum on SOME iPhones. Not sure why that is happening just yet. Is that happening for you? If so,...

Re: Lake Info?

Understandable. However, the presorted order of an all encompassing list should deter one from finding it useful. the sort order doesn't alter the content of the list. All Photos, stats, charts, maps, hotspots, heat maps, and descriptions are available from that page. And a link back to the reports ...

Re: Lake Info?

You didn't see anything? The only thing on your list of things that is not currently there is the boat launch info, but it will return. Look at the charts! They have what you're looking for, no? What area are you looking up?

Re: New section for fishing rule changes/questions?

Agreed. If the state had an electronic method of accessing the rules/regs/updates we would certainly be interested, but they don't. Seems odd to me in this day and age to NOT have that information available via a web service for developers like myself to access.

Re: Who's having issues with navigating website via cell phone?

I'm as baffled as you are about the logging in thing. It's my main priority right now... I WILL figure it out. I am literally working on it all day every day looking for the culprit code. The cell phone thing... is a mess for navigation, and will be resolved shortly after the login issue with an ent...

Re: 'stay-on' button

I'll give this one shot, but I really can't spend more time on this subject. The website is a .NET Application. The Forum is a PHP application. They each have their own cookies. When you login, it's on the website. It drops 2 cookies. One for the forum and one for the website. this is recorded in th...

OMG. Those aren't instructions AMX, they're just an explanation of whats going on technically.

Know 2 things. Logon button. Logoff button. Use them on any page.

Re: 'stay-on' button

The "main menu" is on every single page of the site. It doesn't matter if you're on the website or in the forum, the Login link is in the same place on every page.

Re: 'stay-on' button

By earlier today, do you mean before 830am? There was a new forum bug I introduced last night but had fixed by 9am. If you;'re clearing your cookies, but are automatically logged back in from any page, then you're not clearing your cookies. here's the deal... the forum and the website are 2 separate...

Re: 'stay-on' button

My computer gets rebooted a couple times per year. My browsers get closed about that many times as well. I use Incognito and InPrivate browser sessions to test logins for alternate test accounts because the cookies are destroyed when you close the browser. My main Chrome window always stays open and...

Re: also need to have links with-in a post open in it's own window

This isn't something I'm likely to tackle. Pressing the CTRL button when clicking, or clicking with the middle mouse button, or right clicking and selecting open in new tab. All viable and sensible options. It's been discussed at length here. Read it if you want to see what technical oriented people...
