Re: FALL STOCKING ON THE WEST SIDE

I can agree that they could have put them elsewhere besides rattlesnake giving that it was selective gear already but they ran out of options quick. They put 80,000 of them in green lake. Worst choice of lake in my opinion but remember they couldn't put them in lakes with outlet streams, the fish wo...

Re: Salmon closures

Thanks a lot guys for the info. Will have to give those lakes a try. Normally I don't keep trout unless I know the lake I catch them from they cut dark pink or red, then they head to the smoker. Do you guys know how those lakes trout cut!

Re: FALL STOCKING ON THE WEST SIDE

To be completely honest with you those fish were destined to die either way after the department got sued. They had to do something with them so they let anglers have a go at them at local lakes that don't have outlet streams.

Salmon closures

With all the salmon closures and winter steelhead just around the corner looking for something to pass some time so I wanted to try my luck in lakes where I can put in my inflatable Target species mainly trout but open minded to anything. Not a big fan on stocker trout and I know where to look for t...

Re: Fish ID

Another reason it leads me to believe it's a steelhead is that is has spots all over its body while kings do have large spots they don't normally have them below the lateral line. Most salmon don't have spots below lateral line but trout do. Also to elongated to be a king in my opinion. Also steelhe...

Re: Fish ID

Actually looks more like a steelhead. Can't tell exactly since it is rotten but the gum line looks white also the anal fin on steelhead have 8-12 rays while kings have 13-19 rays

Re: Upper Wanapum Dam Salmon

We fished it two years and on the other side of wanapum dam it is around 100-200 foot deep. Not exactly sure the depths but we didn't mark any large schools near the bottom nor in the the water column. It seems to me as the reason wanapum produces well that it is a spot where fish have no choice but...

I do good in the sound but want to try something different. Plus the derby is Saturday and I'd rather not fish the big crowds

Re: the limit for salmon on the puyallup???????

My apologize for sounding like such a snob. Didn't mean to spoil your fun I just get frustrated at the fact that some guys try to manipulate the rules in their favor. I guess I shouldn't jump to the gun and watch how I word things. We all have questions at some point whether you are new or just look...

Re: the limit for salmon on the puyallup???????

Hey Larry don't ask questions if you are just going to argue with the answers. Why do you need 8 fish anyways the limit is 2 jacks, 2 adults plus 2 additional pinks for a grand total of 6. But hey go ahead and try to catch eight and if you are lucky enough to do so I would like to hear your explanat...

silver lake kokanee

Hello everyone. I am fairly new to kokanee fishing. I have caught a good number of salmon and steelhead over the years ( not including pinks as even beginners can quickly learn to catch them) but i am getting interested in lake fishing now. I know about lake stevens, cavanaugh and a few others and d...
