Re: Where are the Ocean run Coho?

I was out for a short time yesterday and it did appear that the storm flushed the pinks out. We only saw a few jumpers and no nets out.

Re: Salmon setup question

If you want to troll for pinks a dodger will likely have less drag than the flasher or continue with the inline flasher. White and pink are the standard colors though I'm sure others work as well. If you are using an inline, the lure will need some action, such as a spoon (I've caught the occasional...

Re: Public Rights on River

Idaho has a law directly on point in its Fish and Game laws. Look of 36-1601. That should convince the Sheriff. Federal law would use a different definition of navigability than this Idaho law.

Baitcaster Reel Recommendations $100

Hi All, In the spirit of learning new things, I'm looking for recommendations on a baitcasting reel. This will be largely bass on westside lakes. I'd like to keep it to $100 or less if possible. It has to be easy to use and help me minimize birds nests! A matching rod recommendation also appreciated...

Re: Spot Shrimp Newbie

Thanks to all for the pot advice!
I'm going out of Edmonds. Seems like Brown's Bay is the most popular, but I was wondering if anyone has had luck and Point Wells? I'm thinking (hoping) that it may not be quite as much of a zoo.

Spot Shrimp Newbie

Hi All I finally got a pot puller and am going to partake in the short shrimp season this year. I've been scouring the interweb posts and videos on pot set up and I'd appreciate any additions or corrections to my plan: Pots: One nice ladner-style, two of those plasticy tunnel traps (didn't want to s...

Re: Recommendations GPS/fish finder

I used to have the Lowrance HDI Elite 7, a mid-priced unit. It was great in freshwater but I never got it dialed in in the salt (this was on a different thread). I have the HDS Carbon now and its much superior both in performance and ease of use, but its far from a mid-priced unit. TBrink--Not to hi...

Re: Lake Sammamish Perch Derby -9/15/18

I love that you are putting on this event! I have trouble negotiating the curbed turns at the Sammamish launch with my trailer, but may try and manage it for this.
You may want to consider posting on the various Kokanee facebook pages.

Changing bulbs in anchor light

Hi All, This is one of those "duh" questions but for the life of me I can't figure it out. I have a fold down all round light. Not quite sure what I did wrong, but both bulbs got knocked loose (they aren't screw it. Problem is I can't figure out how to open up the lens to fix them. Its a Hella Marin...

Re: Help with Lowrance Elite 5 ti

I learned that if you press the power on button several times on the HDS unit it cycles through all the brightness settings, so if the unit is dimmed to its lowest setting, by pressing that button eventually it will come back to full brightness. Pretty handy.

I don't know if its the same with yours but I had the same thing on my new HDS and learned that repeatedly pushing the power button cycles through the brightness.

Pubic service announcement: With a bunk trailer Edmonds is $50 with parking, though there's often some good fishing right out front of the marina.
