Re: Sockeye fishing in salt water.
I am thinking when I hit Sekiu in July I will bring some small dodgers and red or black hooks (no bait). I know in Lk WA I got them deep, near the bottom. What do you guys think of that plan? I would hit this later in the day after first light king fishing.

If you look at a map of the lake Crab Creek is the water way that is in the n/e and goes up to Moses. Lind coulee is in the s/e. When you get there stop at Mardon and they can show you all the places on a map at the counter of the store. I am sure they could sell you a map too. Also look at the gps ...

Re: Got this warning from the Warden yesterday
The law has been around for a long time. You need to know that if you use any bait, (and that includes scents. see page 10 of regs) you must count released trout as part of you limit. See page 17 of regs. You are lucky he did not hand you a ticket.

Re: Bank Anglers WDFW Access Guide
If you look on WDFW site and go to "Fish Washington" you can get information on access. It is not as quick as your idea, but the info is there.

I think you are ok. The Federal water would be the question, and I found this link that looks like Chelan is NOT federal navigable water.

Re: Lake chelan camping.
If you have over a 10 HP motor you have to have it registered in the state, if over 15 HP you have to have a boater education card. (in less you are born before Jan 1 1955). If Chelan is federal water and you are powered buy motor or sail you have to have it registered.

I use Garmin express, I think it keeps both the maps and software updated. Do you have it on your computer?

Re: Garmin Handheld GPS
I bought the Oregon 450 4 years ago and it worked fine for a while, now it constantly loses the signal, almost useless as it is so frustrating to use. I was talked into this model by a salesman who claimed it had a stronger transmitter/receiver than the $150.00 model I was looking at. This may or m...

Re: Garmin Handheld GPS
I have had the Oregon 450T for several years. No camera. I picked up high out put rechargeable batteries that work well and last longer. I use it hunting and hiking, I did use it on my boat but now have a chart plotter but I do still take it as a backup on the boat. I also got a windshield mount and...

Re: Choosing a Pedestal
I think you hit it right on the adjustable. I had one on my old boat that had a quick adjust handle. It went from normal seat ht to stand and lean by pushing a handle and allowing it to rise or pushing it down by sitting on it. If you shop around there are a lot of them out there.

Re: do you trailer with canvas up or down
Thanks NorseNW I just ordered the top snapper tool. If it works half as good as they show it will be worth it. Of course on Amazon I just had to order some other stuff for fishing so as not to pay shipping. [biggrin] Right now the canvas is flat on the floor of a spare bedroom. That will have to cha...

Re: do you trailer with canvas up or down
Thanks for all the help. The dealer said it was Ok, and I see other boats on the road with tops up. I wanted to know how it is working for other people. It is nice to see that people with the same or similar boats are not having problems with the tops. I lean toward having it up for local and down o...

do you trailer with canvas up or down
I have a new Hewes 200ET Sea Runner and want to know if most people trailer there boat with the canvas up, or do you have it down and put it up at the water. My old boat I had to have the canvas down, at over 30mph it flapped around too much. I brought this boat home to Puyallup from Mt. Vernon with...

Re: Thoughts on boat covers
I have had a lot of covers over the years. I don't garage my boat (I wish I could) so my cover is for weather as well as the trips to the east side. The trips to the east are the reason for a lot of covers. I have had covers destroyed on one trip over, and I have had them last a few years (maybe 3 o...
