Sucker has a good taste when it is from clean waters. it will have an off taste from warmer/ muddier waters.

They've been are all over my yard the last few nights but I don't bother with them this time of year.

These fish were full of salmon eggs so Its interesting about seeing them following the the salmon in a big school!!!!! Whitefish have a mild flavour perfect for smoking or use in a chowder.

Went with Gordy to fish for Whitefish on the Columbia above Vernita Bridge (check out the report) Caught some Whitefish with Gordy landing a few ZOMBIES!!!

thought i would set some some minds towards ice fishing that should be happening soon enough. Plenty of big trout out there to show this year.

I wouldn't eat anything from Long Lake. The lake has had a lot of chemicals put in it to kill the weeds. Doesn't sound too healthy... most stuff that is used to kill weeds does not mess with the quality of the fish so I myself would not have a problem eating a bucket full of crappie/perch from thos...
