Fishing pole repair suggestions?

Hey all, Glad to see the forum is back! Question: I have 2 poles in need of minor repairs. One has a missing plastic piece on the last eye so its bare metal. Another pole I have has a similar issue where the plastic piece on the inside of the last guide eye has been chipped/damaged so when in use my...

Re: Whatcom Creek - Bellingham Wa

I know its early too. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully they show and I can get a chance to run up and give it a shot a day or two in Nov. I'm still chasing coho around but with the rains coming most rivers are going to be unfishable. My local river is already blown out like crazy after yesterday.....

Re: Whatcom Creek - Bellingham Wa

Well I figured I'd post to see if the chum are going to show this year or if anyone has heard/seen them showing up? The last 2 years were dismal compared to previous years, I'm curious if this is a trend or they're going to show up in full force this year. Thanks in advance for any info!

Re: What to do ... with Chum Salmon

My favorite thing to do with chum is catch and release them till my arms get sore! Also, I've had a local let me try some of his cajun smoked chum while fishing once and that was good. Might be something to look into..? Or just smoke it up nice if you get some bright fish. If their bellies are dark ...

Re: Tacoma - Advice/Tips for a Tennessean

1 tip is make sure you read the regulations carefully for washington. They can be a bit confusing and in depth but many streams and creeks have their own regs and may not be open. I'd buy a reg book and spend a little time reading. Other than that do some research online for public access areas with...

Re: 2019 Not Quite Trophy But Still Nice Bass Pictures Gallery

Got a nice plump 4.5 lber (19.5") a few days ago on a cold drizzly morning. She straightened one of the hooks out on the front treble. Couple of aerials, put up a great fight! Swam off strong. Bad picture, hard to get a good pic by yourself sometimes haha

Re: My experience with fishing/Outdoors etc. in Idaho.

I've been to sand point for vacation (not fishing yet) for summer and winter probably about 4 times. I love it over there. Same thing I've found with many eastern wa areas. I'll go to a boat launch in the middle of no where and the facilities are clean with no needles etc to worry about. Not to ment...

Re: Lake Cavanaugh Fishing opportunities

That lake looks real bassy. I've scoped it out bidding work up there the last couple weeks. And I have a friend who has seen bass but couldnt get them to react. Water is really clear so I'm sure that makes them harder to catch. I may give it a shot in the summer once it warms up a bit. Either it's n...

Re: Say it isn't so, no Marine Area 8-1/8-2/9 blackmouth?

I wonder if there are any new rules for the tribes for these fisheries. Nooksack and the stilly are known (by myself) to have LOTS of netting which I'm sure doesn't help. At least the wife will be happy I wont be salt fishing all winter this coming season.. I assumed there would be more strict regs ...

Agreed on researching lakes and the reports. More filters like in the past was much easier (county, alphabetical, species, specific months, etc.). Sometime to find a lake I have to endlessly scroll through pages...

Re: Sponsors hurting site

I'll take a local fishing report from anyone, keeps me informed on what's going on since I'm not on any other social media outlets such as facebook. In my opinion there isnt an overflow of reports or anything so doesn't bother me at all. And yes the pop ups are no good but I manage.

Re: Early season bassin

Well gave lake washington a try today. Used various tactics mostly drop shot 35 to 65 ft. Ended up dropshotting night crawlers 60 to 85 ft and came up with lots of nibbles, 2 small perch and a trout. Great day to be on the water, plenty of fisherman out there. Mostly focused near south side of Merce...
