Hi AJFishdude - I haven't fished the Trask much but my brother lives in Tillamook and fishes it quite a bit - And, yes, some of those Chinook are massive.

Re: Nestucca River - Oregon
The Nestucca River is among my fondest river memories. My dad had a dairy ranch that had the Nestucca River on the edge of the lower pasture. I caught many steelhead from that river and met my future wife there in 1943 near the huge swimming hole just below the junction with Three Rivers. Fishing gu...

Re: Has anybody fished silver lake in Everett ?
I fished that lake a few times during the 1980s and caught some lunker bass. On August 20, 1983, I caught and released a nice 22 inch, 6 pound, 4 ounce largemouth bass. Shortly after I heard that the Fish & Wildlife Department were going to poison out the lake. I went back to try to catch the fish a...

I have noted the different countries and have played against players from 133 different countries. Its a great game to keep the mind sharp. I play the 45 man tournaments and it u...

Re: Chehalis River Bass
I have never fished the river but I have fished that lake just north of Chehalis that you can see from the overpass on I-5 and it had some nice bass in it. My son and I launched a canoe from roadside access and fished a couple hours. My best bass was about 3 1/2 pounds.

I haven't fished the Hump for a few years but I used to camp at a nice little campground near the river on the Humptulips Road that was quite near the Hatchery.

Re: Best camping/fishing location in Washington?
For a camping fisherman without a boat try Horsethief State Park or Mary Hill State park. Many excellent lakes provide great fishing from the shoreline. I once caught a 8 pound, 4 ounce largemouth bass from the shoreline in that area.

I replaced trailer lights with a set from Wall Mart. They have worked well for several years. -- And, were very reasonable priced.

I have fished Rock Lake and found it very good for largemouth bass - Never heard of smallmouth in the lake. Once while fishing with my son, he caught a huge largemouth well over 6 pounds.

Yes, there is a considerable difference in water levels in Fish Lake depending on the time of year and weather. Check out my photos in the lake index - and my hand drawn map of the lake.

Bass Junky - if you like float tubes you may want to try nearby Fish Lake. It is only about a mile from Deep Lake and has some bass in it - and a WDFW public access.

Re: Deep Lake, King County Bass Fishing?
I have fished the lake a few times several years ago and caught bass to a little over 3 pounds. My best lure was a top water floating Rapala. The access is a little rough and is for hand carried craft only.

Re: Saltwater Section Information Page Help Needed
Maybe the best way to describe an entire Marine Area is to have a composite overview by more than one author and one photographer. Probably each salt water angler has knowledge of different parts of an area - And, probably several anglers can contribute photos and descriptions of different launch ar...
