Re: LOOKING FOR DRIVE IN CAMPING LAKES WITHIN 3 HRS OF KING
Steamboat is about 3.5 hours for you. Great clean facilities. They spray for mosquitos, so it's not too bad there. Lots of ants, birds and other wildlife. You can fish, and hike or just chill at the campground. There's lots of places to beach and have a picnic out on the water too. My understanding ...

Re: Dont Forget Your New Tabs For Trailer
What is the states reasoning for staggering expiration dates for trailer and boat? You would think they'll be the same? Trailers will be licensed in the month purchased / licensed. I bought a boat and trailer in March - so my trailer tabs will be due every March as that is the month it was licensed...

Re: Thoughts on boat covers
The past few years, I just get a cheap eBay cover bc the covers are getting destroyed by the birds at the storage. I'm lucky if they last 1 year now. Put the new one on Feb. Looking fine so far.
I do not trailer with the cover on.

Re: Dont Forget Your New Tabs For Trailer
Whoops. Got mine in Jan and March. Now to get the boat tabs this month, or maybe next month. Boat is always June. Ya, but sometimes I get them early in April, sometimes in May, sometimes in June, depends on which month I have more extra $$. [laugh] I always get them at the same time, whenever I rec...

Dont Forget Your New Tabs For Trailer
I got mine last week, but I forgot to put it on. I remembered when I was out on the road today with the trailer.... Fortunately, didn't get pulled over and get a ticket. Surprising too, since I had a patrol car riding behind me for a couple of miles on the way home.

Re: Access to Lake Stevens
I fish solo 50% of the time. I have a bit of a routine that works for both of our boats. My bow line is about 10' longer than the boat. Before launching I tie a bowline knot securing the end of the line to the trailer (other end is already attached to the boat...), back down the ramp just until the...

Re: That's gonna leave a mark!.... WDFW announces Lake clos
Unbelievable such large bodies closed bc of 1 species. Instead yo would think they'll be able to leave it open with gear restrictions since theres so many other game fish available. Looks like no reason for me to renewal my yearly Natural Investment pass.

Re: Access to Lake Stevens
I frequently use the City Launch solo. There are two concrete strip launching lanes that angle away from the float. When launching you need to line up with one or the other or you could hang your trailer up on the gap between the two. The Wyatt launch is very nice you just need to park your rig acr...

Access to Lake Stevens
What's the best? I see 2 launches. City and Wyatt. Any tips or precautions? Never fished this lake before. I did meet up with the original owner of my boat for a test run years ago.
Both launches look to be a hassle with a single person.

Was there last week. Didn't seem too bad. Did see the layer of slime/algae throughout. Ive seen it much worse there, but then, its still early in the season.

Re: vacuum seal life jackets?
new idea time. the suction cups don't work in the livewell. There are these ridges in there, that prevent the bin from sitting flush or close enough to stay put, lol. There's a slot for a divider in my livewell. I'm thinking i'll pick up a plastic cutting board or something like that and just "box" ...

Re: vacuum seal life jackets?
Not too hard to think about really. What do life jacket use for floatation? What does a VAC Pac machine do to the items you seal with it? How long do you have to get them out and ready? Answer number 1. AIR Answer number 2. Sucks all the air out. Answer number 3. Not long enough. Just not a good id...

Re: vacuum seal life jackets?
access must be QUICK, and EASY to get to, not buried under tackle, ropes, paddles, and stuff. NOT in a package that needs to be opened. Well, that isn't going to work. Hmmm, not sure what I can put in there that wont potentially damage the nozzle. Hmmm, maybe I can get a plastic bin, that's just sm...
