Re: Latest info not looking like sunshine and roses......
If they are not going to publish the openings until, June, how do we know whats happening? I have not bought my license yet and probably wont now. By the looks of it, OP's link notes the changes, and one would assume if no changes are noted, seasons would be the same as last year. On the coast, thi...

Re: SW Washington Fishing
If you are looking for bass, crappie, perch, and other warm water species head to the county just north of you - Cowlitz Co - and hit Silver Lake. It is a superb bass and panfish lake. If you want to change up and fish trout - here is a recent list of stocking activity in your county by the WDFW - h...

Re: Petition for Open WDFW/Tribal NOF Meetings
Nowhere in my post did I imply that sportsmen had a voice in those meetings - only that those meetings open to the public exist. That sportsmen allowed to be present during closed meetings would have a voice is not even part of Baywolf's effort or request - as CLEARLY stated by him in this thread. H...

Onmygame, I'm referring to the real meetings, the NOF meetings, not the smoke and mirrors Houdini meetings you are referring to are meaningless, public input my derrière. Our inpu is being sat on.or like talking to ol dumb dumb here---🗿 Bay and a few others are working diligently to bring the sport...

Re: Petition for Open WDFW/Tribal NOF Meetings
There hasn't been any real news coming out from the recent meetings that have been made public.... Anyone have any new news to share? According to the WDFW there are several coming up and an already convened series of North of Falcon meetings open to the public - http://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/northfal...

Re: Two battery boat question
First off, I'm guessing you didn't do the wiring - Secondly, it is typical for a 2 battery system to have different tasks for each battery; lights, aux, electronics, sub pump on one as an example,..and electric start / trolling motor, etc on other. While your description is either a bit vague, or my...

The 'Beast' they call Snagger was / is a German Brown, but this was a few years ago.
I suspect if old Snagger were still cruising the lake, he'd be big enough to inhale those tout whole.
Looking at the wounds, it makes you wonder if someone released some snapping turtles in the lake.

Re: If you fish lake stevens this could be very important!!
Not sure why you'd think it to mean that skiers get their own lane - it could be an area for them to stay out of.
In any event, I don't fish that lake, but if I did - I would want clarification from those proposing it as to just what a 'water safety lane' is

Re: Puget Sound Rivers Forecast
Pretty sad site to see. It is predictions though and it doesn't mean a whole lot to me since Ive seen them be way off on multiple years. I hope the lower stilly will open this year... I am not against keeping rivers closed to help the populations out due to lack of fish as long as commercial and tr...

Re: Johnson outboard
One thing to check is if water is circulating properly. If the impeller has failed, the motor will bog down once it gets warm, and will act the way you've described. Just make sure there is a stream of water coming out somewhere along the back of the shaft. This is likely only one of several possibi...

Re: Rife fishing bridge?
We fish Rife lake to my knowledge these are a species of silver salmon that became trapped when the damn was constructed and now spawn naturally in the inflowing river. Kokanees are a different species of landlocked salmon the sockeye. If you caught the silvers from the fishing bridge if properly b...

I agree with Larry 100%. onmygame I certainly agree with Larry in some aspects, and I do not support accusing them of being bad people. If I had the chance to net fish to support my family I have no doubt that I would be doing it. But that doesn't mean that I should be allowed to. I do think they a...

While I agree with a few of your points, your blatant racism is inappropriate and doesnt help things at all. Its attitudes like yours that are the reason the tribes want the meetings closed. Spreading hate and racism accomplishes nothing good. I am more getting the sense that he is against their wa...

Re: Kokanee Tackle Box
Good electronics to find the fish and downriggers to get down to them are important if you wish to have consistent success. Offerings wise, I like to use a small herring flasher (either 4" or 6") about 14" - 16" in front of a Wedding Ring spinner tipped with either Gulp Maggots (in pink) or Shoepeg ...

Re: Rife fishing bridge?
Riffe Lake silvers = landlocked Coho Kokanee = landlocked Sockeye A lot of the old timers have referred to either species as "silvers" - helping create confusion to just what is what in terms of species. I find myself guilty of it - calling kokanee 'silvers' sometimes, but then again...I sometimes s...

Re: Looking to get some reels serviced
You could always look to Youtube for How To instructions that are easy to follow. Enter the name and model of your reel in the search field and see what comes up. Should be videos showing how to disassemble, clean and service your reels - and in the amount of time it would take you to drive your ree...

Re: Puget Sound Fishing **DONT**
On a scale of 1 to cantaloupe, my anger level on this is hovering just above watermelon - and I rarely get amped up. This is inexcusable - allowing whatever issue to go unchecked or get to this point. They have staff that is supposed to monitor and maintain the equipment. This is failure, period. An...
