Re: 2nd day Banks lake chain winter trout bank fishing

Were it not for the pumping station there would be no connection to Banks, in fact, Banks would not exist. I think it quite a stretch to call it the "Banks chain" when the source water is pumped UPHILL from Roosevelt. No dispute on the irrigation project but your claim of it being the "Banks chain" ...

Re: What causes lice on fish?

They are ugly and although I wouldn't hesitate to retain a rainbow with a few, I would release any with a heavy infestation simply because that fish would be heavily stressed and unlikely to be good table fare.

Re: What causes lice on fish?

They're copepods and nothing to worry about. Usually caused from stress of changing water temperature. See it most frequently in spring, especially if water temps rise quickly.

Re: Deep Fryer recommendation

I bought an outdoor fryer so the splatter and odor stay there too. Caught a nice sale on the 2.5gal propane fryer (they make bigger ones too) here last spring. Awesome little unit, restaurant quality in the back yard. [thumbup]

I use masking tape for a reference line, but I did stickers/decals for years when still punching the clock as a bodyman.

I guess I'll just go the individual letters and numbers route.
What I did. Note the reference AMX posted. WA does require boat registration sticker be placed specifically as described with information accompanying stickers.

Tis a wave board and does as Bodo said, keeps water IN the splash well rather than joining you in the boat. You do not want to remove or modify it. [wink]

Re: Downrigger and Line/Lure Depth

<t>Add Lake Roosevelt to those that "mix" and don't have a thermocline. I don't consider myself an expert at catching kokanee, in fact, I struggled with it for years and was the reason I bought a FH TD so I would know where that magic temperature was. After much frustration, I finally concluded the ...

Re: I am trying to learn how to trap crawdad

Will do Sideburns and am hoping to get a couple opportunities before the season closes. To clarify regulatory requirements covered on pgs 130 and 135 in the current Sport Regs Pamphlet: The 3 1/4" size restriction and 10lb "in the shell" daily limit only applies to native Signal crayfish which are a...

Just to follow up, I was able to contact Terry Bullard yesterday and he replied to my quote request. Order made and processed for a pair of Sportsman Plus traps.

Prop shop in Mukilteo hooked us up, great people and very knowledgeable. Went with the 4 blade, and they thought that would help performance with my boat. Now just have to get some time for a water (fishing) test. Also they were cheaper than Amazon!
