Re: Anyone shore fish Lake Washington for Bass?
I would go into Lake Union if I was to fish from shore (if you can find access, but there are a few parks there). I fished a tournament on Lake Washington and it was tough even from a boat. Here is a link to my recap and what I was using: http://tbrinks.blogspot.com/2014/07/lake-washington-tbf-recap...

Re: lake pateros bass?
Get a chart from a map store, there is one in Bellevue, it'll show you the contours/depths, shoals, navigation channel. Go from there. This should help some. There are a bunch of resources online to get maps or even with a mobile app. I would start by Washburn Island if I was going there, looks lik...

Re: ELOIKA LAKE Bass Help
Sorry this is late but the fishing should be excellent right now as the grass is to the top and it is time to fish with a frog. I usually only fish here first thing in the season (at ice off) because it is usually one of the first to turn on, but they are catching them pretty good now with frogs. Li...

Re: Sprague Lake
I am glad they didn't rehab Badger, although Sprague could certainly use help. For some reason I always hold out hope that Sprague will turn back into a good warm water fishery. I want to try Sprague again this year but I sold my bass boat. Now I've got a 24' pontoon and I need 3' of water to float...

Re: east coast gal looking for some info!
There really are not too many options for catfish that close unless you count bullheads, but Eloika lake has them as do most of the other lakes. The Snake river/Yakima are outside of your 2hr range but have excellent channel cat fishing.

Re: bass depth.
They go where the baitfish are. When they aren't spawning, it is about eating and that's about it. If they can find food shallow they really have no reason to move deeper.

You are right about the bugs, just got back from there yesterday. Bass fishing was excellent but I still got more bug bites than bass bites.

Caught one one time fishing for bass out there, but have never actually heard of much success from people who actually target them.

You are right...plus it is cheaper to tow the boat down there than run it down lake, at least it is for me.Anglinarcher wrote:Not so pricy! If you pay $7 at the state launch, plus $10 if you need a one day Discovery pass...... $15 beats $17.

Re: Spokane lake(long lake) DNR launch?
They told me no last year. When did it change? I've been going there all last year and even late in 2012 after the others closed on Oct 15th. It's nice when you can launch all the way into late November. The Spokane Bass Club has even held four tournaments there. It's pricey to launch but good faci...

I have heard alot about this lake but mostly about the great Muskie fishing. Just checked it out and it looks pretty interesting with all of the different fingers, points and stuff.

Re: Spokane lake(long lake) DNR launch?
There are three "public" launches. No other launch is open to the public at this time, to include the one that is now private and closed in Tum Tum, Willow Bay, etc. There are actually several private launches, but ........ One actually is a camping area, launch, Marina, but is for "members only". ...

Re: Hooks?
For a 3 inch worm, are you talking about a Yamamoto Senko? A pretty small bait, would go with a 1/0 or 2/0 Gamakatsu Extra Wide Gap. Or like the others say, try a smaller hook for a wacky rig. Good luck!
