Re: Baitcaster vs. Spinning Gear
Itray, I like your question simply because you aren’t asking the very over asked question that so many people ask, “What is better, bait cast or spinning reel” Your point being, in a tight environment of in the bush, within your canoe, tight quarters. I wish I could speak from being a good baitcaste...

My experience with fishing/Outdoors etc. in Idaho.
I have been in the Puget Sound area for 55 years. Lots of experience fishing and exploring the great outdoors, in WA. Well, man... I am sitting in a Condo in Sandpoint, Idaho, right on Lake Pend Oreille. Been here 48 hours. I cannot believe the beauty of the outdoor experience in Idaho. I don’t want...

WDFW’s Deep water release tool
I am well aware of what a deep water release tool is, but if someone has a link or pic of what the WDFW is now requiring for Puget Sound bottom fishing, could you post it up here. I have my own such tool for Mackinaw, but don’t want to be caught with something that does not fit maybe a specific item...

Logboom Park, North end dock in Kenmore is full of carp. There is enough brushy area on the shoreline between entry to dock and shore, that I could see you aiming toward shoreline brush, rather than aiming toward people on dock, and less concerns with collateral damage, etc.

Re: Confused
So I took the boat out for a spin around hat island today. Saw some folks fishing in about 50' of water, I assumes they were bottom fishing so I looked up the regs and gotta say I am totally confused as to what you can currently fish for. Also book talks about a fast decent device for all bottom fi...

Old section for lakes by county
With the website upgrade, can you tell me where the section is now located, where you can look up all lakes via their county, etc.
Thanks

Re: Twas the night before the opener
Ah, yes, tis a fine tradition to resurrect this thread every year! Thanks, kevinb! And I seem to be stuck in a Wapato Lake opening day rut. Another year, another 3 hour trip to the Lake Chelan area. Got new back-supporting seats for the portabote, to replace the flimsy canoe seats. And I sprung for...

For Sale: Outcast Stealth Pro frameless pontoon + Xtras
Selling my Outcast Stealth Pro pontoon, to make some room in the garage. I bought it new, and probably used it 8-10x. It is in excellent condition. I have added a rod holder as seen in the pic. It is a Railblaza brand, gear rod holder, but you could certainly put a fly rod holder on the same base. H...

I understood that, he provides the kayak. You would be in a Mirage drive foot pedaled kayak. All hands free.
Anyway, you would still be learning the ropes of bass fishing, which apply to your boat fishing as well.

At least for Samammish. I cannot say if he guides the other lakes you mentioned.

If you got it 2-3 days prior to Saturday, you could be in the game. (-:

Re: How to target the holdovers?
I don’t claim any expert advice at all, lol, but if I am going to baitfish, etc. I love just a juicy night crawler. I would target the deeper holes that you mentioned. If you can make some passes with the Humminbird, if you can mark anything, then I would post up with a slip float rig. See if you co...

Re: Surf Fishing Washington Shoreline
I have never been anywhere where there is a creek mouth option. That being said, I am always near the Copalis River, but not when perch fishing. You might try that beach, River mouth. I have never thrown spoons via the ocean beaches because it is just to crazy turbulent, but maybe I’m missing out on...

I see.. So, in this case the email link took me directly here. I had logged in previously this AM. I see now that is an issue of being logged in. I don’t have any issues with being able to log in. About a year ago I went through a whole big thing with Cookies and logging in, and you got my system so...

Aaron, I know you’ve been working on some issues with people’s difficulties logging in, etc. I’ve noticed lately that via my iPhone, (Safari) when I click on an NWFR email saying that there has been a post on my followed thread, etc. I click on the email.. it used to link straight away to the thread...
