Re: Fishin' Buddies
strider43, I usually fish the Nisqually and Skookumchuck rivers. The skook is still ok to fish but seems to getting more crowded with less fish. The Nisqually (Salmon) was really good until the last few years - crowded, less fish and shorter season outside of the main run. Used to fish the green bu...

Re: Salmon in the Sound on cocane, prozac and?
Hmmm no wonder fish counts are down.....they are all on birth control!!! Sorry...it's bad joke Monday ;) Ha Ha good one. If the information is actually real it could be effecting fish counts. The video that the link went to was totally questionable as to its content. "lips" new service? please, peo...

Re: Fishin' Buddies
Hey everyone, I feel kinda foolish posting for other fisherman to fish with but here it goes. Lived here most of my life (Olympia) and have fished for almost anything that Wa has to offer. I prefer fresh water but at times fish salt. I really like river fishing (Salmon and Steelhead) and fishing lo...

Fish found in Washington’s Puget Sound are on a variety of drugs, including cocaine and anti-depressants, as a result of contaminated water. The cocktail of drugs showing up in sewage-treatment wastewater and in the tissues of juvenile Chinook salmon also included Flonase, Aleve, https://www.youtub...

Re: Snoho/Sky/Wallace Open for Coho!!!
Oh sorry about that, it's always a rude surprise! Better get out the aquaseal or the loon UV cure. You should keep a tube of the loon in your fish pack or bag. Find the leak and smear it in good and put it in the sun or hit it with the uv flashlight and you're back in the river. It only takes a cou...

That does sucks. And what can you do? It was really bad in the skykomish valley a few years, I'm not sure if it still is but I live in Gold Bar and it bad here. When I bought a new car 2-1/2 years ago I kept my Ford Focus with 195,000 miles so I would have a beater to leave at fishing holes so it wo...

Re: Boating courtesy to land lubbers
I'm a bank angler and understand the frustration. Some boaters are just jerks, but also keep in mind that the boat that's up on plane is usually displacing less wake than one riding slow and low in the water, so they might actually be thinking of the bank angler in that regard. Additionally, on man...

Re: Secret River Posting
This isn't a bug or problem type of posting, but I think it would be awesome to have Secret River reports. If there is a way I haven't found it but is this something to consider for this website. I have a report I would consider posting with information besides what system I was fishing. Should I j...

Re: How To Fish A Float N Fly
Great video and action on that little pond. It really bites sometimes trying to plan around what the weather mans says.
I never even heard of those fly's (Spro Phat Fly) although I'm not much of a pan fish guy.
Thanks for taking the time to post.

Re: Snoho/Sky/Wallace Open for Coho!!!
I accept survival tactics to aid in the evolution of a species so salmon destroying another's eggs makes good sense! It brings up a conundrum- after eggs are doctored up for fishing, there is no way they smell like natural eggs. Plus the imitations are usually plastic. I would think man's doctored ...

I am not speaking for any other system but the snohomish its amazing the misinformation out there. A week ago Sunday I was down by the 522 and talked with a guy who was telling that the Coho aren't biting because the nets are in........I said really, they net this river? and his reply was yes, its ...
