Re: multiple burglaries, vandalism, theft on the green

The really frustrating part is: this is now considered normal!! Tweeking, stealing, burglary, homeless camps, dregs, drugs and dumping... We (the people) can only shrug and complain.. It's a feeling of not only anger and frustration, but of utter contempt. More and more it's becoming evident that s...

Re: multiple burglaries, vandalism, theft on the green

Stopped and talked a cop on the way to the river this evening, turns out he's the one that responded to yesterdays theft. He says he stops there several times a week, and usually makes an arrest! He couldnt say enough about how bad that spot is, like weirdos are magnetically drawn there.... Super ni...

Re: multiple burglaries, vandalism, theft on the green

@Sideburns - what did he say when you ended up surprising him? Was he all tweaked out or did he just say he was living there? A lot of these guys worry me due to the nature of their current status in life and what they may potentially do depending what and if their on something. Have you ever seen ...

Re: multiple burglaries, vandalism, theft on the green

I walk down here at night quite a bit, and light up the river in various spots with bright flashlights. Sometimes hundreds of fish scatter into the darkness... (just realized :silent: they stole my bright flashlight, damn it) Last year, thinking that I was being followed on the trails, I quietly wai...

Re: multiple burglaries, vandalism, theft on the green

Why can't we ever catch these guys and do some attitude adjustments?? We need to set up some bait cars. That was my first thought too, but I dont think it will do any good... (addicts with no sense of reality) They really need to be incarcerated if they have any chance of cleaning up. What bugs me,...

multiple burglaries, vandalism, theft on the green

My truck and at least two others were broken into and items were stolen in broad daylight this morning, at the boat launch/ gravel lot on green valley rd near aub black diamond road bridge. Windows were broken on the two other guys trucks. I told my buddy about it, and he said his window was smashed...

Re: What species do you target in the fall at lake merwin

I fished merwin over a month ago, and the kokes were just beginning spawn. Was a alot of fun once we found active aggressive fish, but not the best table fare. Seems that merwin and swift have a great trout fishery too. Kokanee at merwin is on my next years bucket list for sure.

Re: Favorite crab bait

I use a combination of whole chicken wings (or really, whatever is cheapest or on sale and not from the frozen food section seems to work, although I have used the frozen foods section chicken) and a can of Friskies whitefish and tuna. I out-crab my friends every time with this combo. A pack of 6-8...
