I fished with a friend on Saturday and released 9 pike. My partner for the day, a seasoned walleye guy, had the big day catching and releasing 8 pike and 4 bass. He had the big fish of the day with a personal best 40"er that hit a bait he had painted himself. My total is 30 for the year at this point

I added 11 pike last Saturday and 4 yesterday fishing the north end of Cda Lake both times. That brings my total to 21 for the year

Well then I guess you've already seen the photo.
I caught all 5 of my pike that day on one of the custom painted baits I've been doing. I've been catching pike on them for a couple of years now. If you're interested I have some for sale.

By the way Rick. I didn't post the weight of that fish on here. Where did you get that accurate info?

Either way, I say take it as a good sign. Rumor has it, when you've got the "Rona" you lose your sense of taste and "Smell". If you can smell them, then you're most likely Virus Free and you'll be ready when they finally decide we can fish and social distance at the same time.

Where are you catching these pike at?

Nice fish! I hope you don't catch them all before I can buy an Idaho license. They suspended non resident license sales the day before I was planning to get mine bought.

I had a big numbers day on Saturday, releasing 26 pike. That gets me to 208 for the year. Once again no monsters but I did get one at 30" and another at 33". Even those 23-26"ers are fun when they get in the fall feeding frenzy mode. When they get going it seems like you can do nothing wrong.
