Re: Fly Fishing Spots in Eastern WA??

In the evening try an Elk Hair Caddis on a dead drift. During the day try a Turks Tarantula in the faster water. Most of the fish are Rainbows and Cutthroats. For Bows, try streamer patterns with red in them. For Cuts, try a pattern with international orange in it. Before you head out, stop by the S...

Re: Fly Fishing Spots in Eastern WA??

Try the Spokane River by the Washington and Idaho state line. There is plenty of access behind the Port of Entry. Lots of open area to cast. It holds a lot of good-sized trout in that area.

If you have an iPhone 4 this is a great GPS app. You download the app for $.99 and buy a yearly subscription of $30 a year. http://news.motionx.com/motionx-gps/2012/03/15/motionx-gps-hd-now-in-the-app-store/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; All traffic information is kept up current. Re: Stay in a car overnight in Monroe? Viable? Legal?

Call the Monroe city police department and ask them where a safe place is. I did that in Sheridan Wyoming one time and they told me a good place to park. All of the motels were full for the rodeo. The place where they told me to park they routinely patrolled. All worked out well.

Re: hangman creek

It's all private land until you get down to People's Park under the Sunset Highway. I fished that stretch decades ago and got nothing but squaw fish. Fish the Spokane instead.

This is pure bs by this "warden" I sent a link to this thread to the director Phil Andersen and I hope he reads it. That way he will get a ear full on what we people who buy licenses and tackle to fish think about his fish cops on the water who pull this crapola off on us. :salut: I sent them a cut...

Re: Baker Lake Harsh Wardens

They should be checking licenses, peoples fish and safety gear, on all the boats daily so they can check as many people as possible in a day for violations, not following one person around until they do one small little harmless thing like this just so they can give a couple kids a ticket. One olde...

Public Meetings On Proposed Teatments For 3 Eastside Lakes

OLYMPIA - State fishery managers will host four public meetings in late July to discuss proposals to treat three lakes in eastern Washington with rotenone, a naturally occurring pesticide commonly used to remove undesirable fish species from lakes and streams. The Washington Department of Fish and ...

Re: Ponds in spokane area.

It's not really on the south hill, but rather out behind Central Valley High School. It's called Shelley Lake. Manito and Cannon Hill park are not stocked and no fishing is allowed. However, you can fish the river in River Front Park.

Re: Ponds in spokane area.

No ponds to speak of. There is one on the south hill, but it is private. You're best bet would be Fish Lake out by Cheney. There is a park there with restrooms, fishing dock and plenty of shoreline on the east side to fish from. http://www.washingtonlakes.com/WatchVideoHD.aspx?id=21" onclick="window...

Re: Coming very soon to a Safeway near you...

Fred Meyer sends there grocery add in the Sunday paper. They have a full page in that add. In small print, there is a 21% and an additional 7% or 11% state tax added to the "sale" price, at checkout. That is a substantial cost increase over the shelf price. That could very well be the cost increase...

Re: Coming very soon to a Safeway near you...

I don't think that this change in the sale of hard liquor is going to have much of an effect on the number of DUI drivers at all. Repeat offenders are basically maintenance drinkers and having that addition (disease) is very expensive. When a person's body demands more alcohol, it doesn't specifical...

Not made in America, but a beautiful reel. It's designed and engineered in Germany. I have these two and love them. The RLS is made by Okuma for Cabela's.
