Re: Advice on I-pilot/Bow Mount Minn Kota?
Wow, just looked up your boat model. Nearly identical to our 1996 lund 1600 angler. Same little side console steering also. (difficult to add enclosed top!) We have a 12v 55lb minn kota rip tide with Ipilot link (networked to the humminbird fish finder). 55 lb is not enough for us in the salt or in ...

Re: Lake Meridian kokanee disappearance
I hate to even think this thought, but where would one look for proof that the kokanee ever even made it to the lake? This is not to be misinterpreted as an accusation, the idea of wasting so much thought and research on a "cause that never was" just bugs the heck out of me. Has anyone seen a kokane...

Re: Lake Meridian kokanee disappearance
Never got a phone call returned. I did connect with a few emails, and got answers related to lack of funding for proper research. My feeling as of late is that the department of wildlife is so frustrated with insufficient funding that they just dont care anymore.... to the point of sabotage. Last ye...

Re: Who Wants To Test My Imported LiFePO4 Batteries....
Dont have a 24v motor to offer, but Ive been dying to play with one of those 12v lead acid replacement lion batteries. Even thought about trying to make one out of 18650 battery cells. As far as your voltage reading, Lithium Iron Phosphate cells are "supposed" to be fully charged at 3.6 static volta...

Re: Mandate Barbless Hooks For Lake Sammamish
Thanks for your input fishingtenor. I'm curious about those crawfish traps of the 70's. This is the first ive heard of that. Do you have any idea of what the university's goal was? I would imagine it would take hundreds if not thousands of traps to have such an effect? A quick google search shows th...

Sharphooks, I enjoyed the discussion and I honestly have taken your concerns to heart. Civil discussions like these plant seeds that bring about change. These native cutts and the last of the native kokanee strains are very important to me too.

Re: Mandate Barbless Hooks For Lake Sammamish
Ive got a little different point of view on the subject.... I am doubtful that changing the fishing regulations will have much effect on the fishery at all. This is not to say that any fishery can survive a no limits free for all, as we all know what's happened in american fisheries' history. I have...

My Love of two strokes stems from the dirt bike engines of my youth. All my outboards are old mix your own fuel two strokes. Put..put...put...pop!......put...put............put..............put. And the smell!...I guess those are all cons for the rest of you!

Both "sturgeon kayak fishing" and "charcoal kayak grilling" sound hilarious to see! The sport of sturgeon fishing from a kayak sounds kinda like it combines water skiing and fishing skills!

Grey area.... Has been discussed here before. Ive contacted people about this and received conflicting information. I decided not to do it. I was specifically enquiring about creating crappie structure in a king county lake when I did my research a few years ago.

As I understood it (from a brief news clip) this shutdown was more of a partial shutdown than before.... Parks are supposed to remain open, but with limited services.

Genetic analysis should be an exact science, yah? Sure looks like they did an awful lot of sampling to back up their claimed origins. They sure are quick to point the finger at bucket biologists though.... (as usual).
