Fishing Gray's Harbor
Heading out to Westport next month and planning to take my boat out in Gray's Harbor. Going to drop some crab pots but also want to fish in the harbor. If I'm reading the regs correctly salmon's not open in this area (2-2). Is that correct? Any suggestions as to the species and technique for fishing...

Best time of day for steelhead?
I'm guessing early morning and late evening are best, but would like to get some thoughts on this. In my limited experience with the winter run (I managed to catch 2 this past season) I caught them late afternoon. But both the fish I caught were the only bites I got all day and this past winter appa...

Chinook and Lingcod in Marine Area 11
I just got a boat and am itching to take it out on the Sound. Obviously new to fishing in the sound (done some crabbing, shrimping, and fishing for flounders, but that's about it). Per the regs Chinook opens June 1-Dec 31 and Lingcod May 1-June 15. Any advice for trolling for Chinook in marine area ...

Float fisihng the Big Eddy at Tokul Creek
I'm new to steelheading. Every time I learn about a new spot or technique I'm quick to jump on it and give it a shot! Recently learned about Tokul Creek and the Big Eddy. Seems the creek is not open beyond the Fish Hatchery Rd Bridge yet, otherwise I'd have tried it out by now! Anyhow, I fished the ...

Green River Steelhead
Will steelhead be in all parts of the river or primarily the upper river? I've read a lot about how steelhead fishing is good from Metzler and up, but what about the lower river?

Best places on the Green River for Chum
This is my first year fishing for Salmon. Had a great time fishing for Pinks, and managed to catch just one jack coho. Still targeting my first big chrome silver, but I hear the rivers are about to get full of Chum. Some posts say it'll be like fishing for pinks plus 5-10lbs. I caught my first chum ...

Re: Thomas Eddy
noob here, still looking for my first coho! when floating eggs how long should the leader be? i'm sure it depends on the depth of the river, and where the fish are holding up, but how do you judge that?
