Re: Invasive species sticker for Idaho?
Thanks Mark!
We will be up there the second week in May. Thats probably a bit early, but its when my brother could get vacation time. We plan to hit all the spots you showed us plus maybe try trolling for some salmon in the main lake.
Hows the fishing been so far this year?

Re: Invasive species sticker for Idaho?
Mark,
My brother payed the fee on-line. If we pay on-line, or get one from Cabellas, does that mean we DON'T need to stop for the inspection when we cross into Idaho?

Re: Invasive species sticker for Idaho?
Thanks guys. I found another link on the parks website that said where they were. The closest one on the Wa side is at the Huetter rest stop just past Post Falls on I90. Im still not clear on if we need to apply ahead of time, but to be safe, I did the on-line form and they are going to mail a stick...

Invasive species sticker for Idaho?
We fished Coeur d'alene two year ago and stopped on a freeway off ramp somewhere close to Coeur d'alene and got the sticker. But, I am suffering from CRS and cant remember where that was or if we needed to apply ahead of time. I just spent the last hour trying to find info on the Idaho fish and game...

So, you don't like the braid because it doesnt brake off as easily when you snag?

Re: Makes me wonder if WDFW is getting worried about license sales?
I dont get to go salt fishing all that often anyway, and when I do go, Im not a fan of combat fishing - especially with boats. Last time we went halibut fishing - year before last in Port Angelus, it was utterly insane. People were parking trailers two miles from the launch because it was that full....

Hi Mike,
Congrats on the new job! Wait...it was a promotion wasnt it? ;)
In any case, good luck with your new duties!
So, who is going to be getting us the fall walleye reports from now on? Do you have a junior you can delegate that to or?

Im not an expert, but I much prefer the no stretch feel and much smaller diameter you get with braid. When Im not being lazy, I do exactly like you do, and add a floro top leader for 'stealth'. Im not completely convinced thats really necessary, but it give me hope

Re: Trailers: Bunk v. Roller
Bunks with "slicks" slide just as easily as rollers and they dont have bearings to rust up or jamb or break off. Also rollers will leave dents in your fiberglass hull over time.
