RE:Minn Kota or not to Minn Kota??
I've had several electrics in the past on tin boats, toon, and even a kayak. All have worked well until they get around saltwater and then they quickly developed "issues". RE:How many guys here fish the salt?
Since I live 2 minutes from the Mukilteo Park launch 8-1, 8-2, and 9 are my usual areas. Since 9 is open for clipped kings (been closed for 15 years) I'll be fishing close to home. Hope I remember how!!!

RE:game wardens
When you see violations happening you can also call the state patrol. They have the field agents cell phone numbers and often are able to direct an agent quicker than the poaching hot line. I was checked a few weeks ago on a selective gear lake and found the agent to be very helpful and curteous. He...

RE:Opening Day - Is it always like this?
I haven't fished the traditional opening day for years. Since there are a lot of year round lakes open that get planted periodically I concentrate on them. The traditional opener weekend is my weekend to do the heavy lifting portion of my yardwork. Usually 2 weeks after the opener the crowds really ...

RE:POWERBAIT vs. SALMON EGG
I let the fish decide. Some days (or hours) they prefer the paste baits, other times the old egg and worm sandwich floated up by a mini mallow works better for me.
