Finally!
The pics and video surface. I heard about this bass soon after he caught it and have been waiting to see this video.
No words can describe this. Simply Amazing!
Biggest swimbait bass EVER caught on film. Maybe the biggest bass EVER caught on video.

You have to see it! The lure comes out right as he nets her.
It didn't work for me too at first but then I opened it up in a new window and it launched.
For some reason I can't load it now too. Keep trying, it is worth it.

I was ogling the pictures when my almost 3 year old came up to me and said "that's like your fish dad"

I love his immediate stream of "oh gawd"s upon making the hookup. EPIC.

if he had delayed the net by 2 sec, that beauty would have been a fishing tale. at least if she got away he could have shown the video.

I think he uses one of the biggest igloo coolers you can buy, aerated, so I'm sure it fit. Should be a cool DVD when it comes out.

I had a bass on last summer that I think was a little larger than Butch Brown's. It put up a great fight but I was finally able to get it back to the boat. Just as I reached over the side to jaw land it -- I woke up. Darn!
A nice bass is too valuable a resource to enjoy catching only once.

LOL!
Good one Bob. Can you imagine? Also, there is talk that Mike Long has caught a 20lber. last week. I haven't put anything up on it because it is on the DL right now. If the proof comes out I'll post it up. This would be Mike's 3rd bass over 20lbs. He will be the one to break the record someday.
As far as Butch Brown is concerned, I have never met or seen the guy, but I have friends down in Cali who know him and say if you saw him on the water you wouldn't think much of him. He has a little cheap rink-a-dink boat, nothing special and just sits there and cast for hours on end. Floating all over the lake. They say he is a cool dude to talk to. Not arrogant at all. He does have a live well set-up that is an Igloo ice chest. Doesn't matter, he still gets it done.
Now too, I don't want anyone to think that this guy and Mike Long go out and hammer bass everyday. These two put a lot of time on the water. Sunrise to sunset they are on the water. Butch has probably fished 2 months straight for that one fish. This is just the fruit of his labor.
It's all about dedication my friends!

QUESTION(s): In the video the bass doesn't look as big as it does in the pic. Why is that? Is it because its at a diff angle and maybe he's long armin' it a bit? Also, in the picture the swimbait is still attached to the fishes mouth. We all saw the bait fly out of the its mouth right at the net. Did he stick the hook(s) back in the fishes mouth for the picture? Has anyone else done that before? errrrrrrrrr
