Just returned from 5 days on the upper St Joe Idaho

River is in great shape, the areas near campgrounds, and roads, where getting hammered, I fished the roadless area for 5 days C&R 25 cut's a day and 2-3 whitefish each day as well. Fish ranged from 8-16 inches with most being 12-14. Fish are in great shape and the river was at a perfect level for wading. Hatches where early and late but nymphs worked all day long

Hey you Washington guys stay on your own side and fish your trout water. Just kidding, that river can really go off. Glad to hear you had a good trip. Noticed that you didn't get any Bullies. Did you just not fish for them or just didn't hook up with any? There are some huge Bullies in that river. Can you say streamers?

Trust me Fish4brains I would rather be fishing the waters of my childhood, that look like and fish like the Joe. (the White, Nepeequa, Little Wenatchee) but the God D($&#$_ federal government shut the fishing down to protect Chinook salmon because us c&r guys kill so many salmon when they don't eat when in freshwater.:bom:

I did not get a bull, I have caught a lot of them before the East slope Cascade rivers where shut down, there big but don't really fight. They feel like a snag half the time.
