Green River
Since it sound like theres gonna be lots and lots of pinks in this year, what would be a good setup as far as rod, line, leader/tippet, and flies go? Or should i just stick with a spinning or casting rod setup?
RE:Green River
Don't listen to anybody else, try a 1/4 oz. jig with a pink, green, or blue squid over it in the deeper slower pools and jig it back to yourself in a one, two, three motion, this will work better than anything else. So cast out let it sink, then start jigging, one, two, three, let it sink. Then repeat. As far as rod and line goes, a medium action 7'-8'6" rod with 8# test will be the best bet. Although, you can catch a humpy on other tackle. But basically anything pink will work, I have caught many pinks on jigs I have tied up myself.
